After a long day at the gym all I wanted was for a nice relaxed evening with Ember, a long movie, and some of my favourite home snacks. I lobbed my bag on the floor, greeting Ember who laid out on the couch, immediately walking over to the biscuit barrel on the kitchen side.

I lifted the silver lid off, expecting the aroma of my favourite biscuit, only to see a few empty crumbs left around the rim of the box. "Ember, where are all the biscuits?" I spun around on my heels, and walked back in so I could see her, and the huge smirk on her face.

"I have no idea," she whispered, although the high pitched tone of her voice told me she had every idea.

"I swear down I'm going to give you ten seconds to run." I stood with my hands on my hips, watching her jump up from the sofa to get past me into the garden, but instead I latched my arms around her, throwing her into the air.

"There is no way that was ten seconds," she cried out as I slammed her back onto the sofa.

"I know," I sniggered, jumping over to join her on the couch, pulling her body close into me. "You owe me big time." She nodded, still with her cheesy smirk on her face. "I'm not kidding."
