"Hold your hand in the air, you need to stop the bleeding." I looked over at Nick in despair, the panic in his voice sending me into a fit of giggles. "I'm being serious."
"I know," I whispered in between chuckles, lifting my hand a little higher to please him. "It's only a cut, it doesn't even hurt you're worrying over nothing."
Nick shook his head, resting his head in his hand that rested on the table. "I don't care, you don't want to make it any worse even if it doesn't hurt right now."
"I've had much worse injuries then this, I'm sure I'll cope." He failed to see the funny side, raising his eyebrows at me once again as my hand slowly lowered from above my head. "You're the worse, you know that?"
"I prefer to think of it as caring darling, making sure that you're doing alright." I smiled sweetly and appreciatively over at him whilst Nick did the same.
"You're doing a very good job of caring for me, always." He nodded, proud of receiving such a compliment, standing up from his seat and walking over to me.
"Now, let me see that cut, make sure it's getting better."
