I tried desperately to keep my eyes open as I looked at Cass on the screen of my computer. "You can go to bed love, it's alright." I shook my head.
"I can never go to sleep, not without your cuddles." He sighed through the screen, looking over at me sadly.
"I miss holding you in my arms and giving you the biggest squeeze." I picked up the laptop, turning around so I was laying on my bed.
"When will you be home?" I asked, desperate to have him come home.
"Four more days and then I'll be home." I made a small mental reminder, as another yawn escaped my lips. "You should really try and get some sleep." I nodded at him, covering my mouth with my hand.
"Can you stay on with me until I go to sleep?" I asked in between yawns. I listed the duvet up, slipping under and pulling it back over me.
"Of course I can darling." We spoke for a few more minutes, when I felt my eyelids droop again. His voice went quiet as I slowly curled up into a small ball, gripping onto the duvet. "Goodnight princess, I'll be home soon," I barely heard as I fell into a deep, sleepy slumber.
