Max wagged his tail with delight as he and Gidget gazed upon the snacks. There were cupcakes, muffins, cookies, cake, and all kinds of sugary sweets. Chloe's jaw seemed to drop all the way to the floor. "I think I'm an heaven..." she mumbled. Chuckling, Max went to grab Gidget a cupcake when he was suddenly dragged under the table.
Before he could start panicking, a female voice whispered, "Do you know a Siberian husky?" Confused, Max looked to his left to find a crow staring at him. She looks familiar... he thought quietly. "Do you know a Siberian husky?!" the crow repeated in a firm but kind tone. Fear glistened in her golden eyes. Slowly, Max nodded his head.
"You must hurry! I just saw a pit bull drag her away!" the crow warned. And just like that, she was gone. Slightly scared, Max scrambled out from underneath the table when a loud bark echoed outside, "What do you think you're doing?!"
