Closing his eyes, Tiberius suddenly woke up at the sound of footsteps outside his shed. The old hawk was exhausted, spending the entire day with Angel. The pair had flown races, watched clouds, chased a small puppy, shared jokes, and played tag. He had never felt so exhilarated in the longest time. But now he felt cautious as the door slowly opened. Then he heard a small voice whisper softly in the dark, "Tiberius?"

Breathing a sigh of relief, Tiberius called back softly, "I'm here Norman." A second later, the young guinea pig tugged off his hood. Hugging his small friend, the old hawk whispered, "You got lost again, didn't you?" The guinea pig merely nodded his head, adding, "I also wanted to keep you company tonight."

"Thank you," Tiberius spoke quietly, ruffling the guinea pig's head gently with his wing. Laughing, Norman escaped and pounced on his friend's back. The pair played with each other, carefully, for the first time since February. At last, the two curled up beside each other.

"Good night Tiberius," Norman whispered, yawning. Silently, the old hawk watched as the young guinea pig fell asleep before whispering back, "Sweet dreams Norman." For some reason, however, Tiberius still felt lonely deep inside his soul. And he knew it was something that even the cheerful guinea pig couldn't fix...
