Feeling a sense of accomplishment, Chloe padded down to her apartment. Before she even entered however, the tabby cat knew something was up when she saw how far open the window was. When she had left to see Pepe, Chloe had the window partly shut. But now it was wide open. Hesitantly, she crept inside.
Her apartment was completely dark except for two small candles on the floor. A violin could be heard playing a romantic tune in the background while Pops smiled warmly at Chloe. "Hi Rhonda," he piped up. Scowling, Chloe hissed, "HECK NO!" Down below on the fifth floor, Max and Gidget shared a concerned look with each other as a bunch of thuds and screaming could be heard upstairs in Chloe's apartment. "We warned him not to do it," Gidget murmured quietly.
Just then, Pops and Myron passed by them. Meanwhile, Chloe shouted loudly, "AND STAY OUT!" Turning around, Pops was about to say something probably romantic but didn't get a chance as Myron grabbed his long ear and shoved it into his mouth before grabbing his tail and dragging him down the fire escape. "Bye?" Gidget mumbled, shrugging her shoulders.
