"Alright, here's one for you. Why did the hawk cross the road?" Angel asked. Thinking for a moment, Tiberius shrugged his shoulders, commenting, "I don't have the slightest clue." A glint of humor sparkled in the crow's eyes as she replied, "To eat the chicken on the other side!" Both burst out laughing. The pair had spent almost all morning and afternoon scouting the city, sharing jokes and hilarious memories with each other. They also held several races all over the place. "That's a good one," Tiberius remarked, smiling at the crow.

Giggling, Angel looked up and gasped. Following her gaze, Tiberius realized that the sun had already sank below the horizon. Well, time flies when you're having fun... the thought entered his mind. Turning to look at him, Angel quietly offered, "If you want, you can sleep with me tonight." Thoughts swirling around in his head, the old hawk was barely aware of himself nodding in reply. Smiling, the crow whispered, "Follow me."

SEVEN MINUTES LATER...

Alighting upon the branch of a willow tree, Angel peered down at Tiberius. "Coming?" she questioned. I've been here before... but when? the old hawk asked himself as he joined the crow in the tree. Spreading her wings, Angel announced, "Welcome to my home!" Folding her wings in once more, she added softly, "I've lived here since I flew down from Buffalo five years ago." Observing his surroundings, Tiberius murmured, "It's a nice place. I notice you have a view of the stars." He pointed at an opening through the branches at the stars above.

Curling up on the branch near the trunk, Tiberius noticed that Angel was gazing at him, a question in her golden eyes. He motioned silently for her to come over. Smiling, Angel laid down beside the old hawk, resting her head on his shoulder. Tiberius's heart pounded suddenly. What is wrong with me? the hawk thought quietly. Gazing at the crow, he couldn't help but smile.

"Sweet dreams Tiberius," Angel whispered, closing her golden eyes. Gazing at her, Tiberius watched Angel as she slept soundly. A wave of protection swept over him. "Good night Angel," Tiberius murmured, yawning. Laying his head down, the old hawk fell asleep under the branches of the willow.
