Three days after the trespassing, Snowball called for a meeting in Max and Duke's apartment. The rabbit appeared agitated and always on alert. He ordered the Flushed Pets and the Alley Cats to keep watch on the streets, specifically around Pops' place and the apartment building, along with guards at all the bridges leading to Brooklyn.
Gazing around his apartment, Max could sense the fear building up inside the others. Pops was always glancing at the window while Leonard and Duke paced back and forth. Chloe didn't sneak anything out of the refrigerator. Mel, Buddy, and Sweetpea were awfully silent. Ozone's tail flicked nervously. Meanwhile, Tiberius kept Norman as close to his side as possible. Gidget rested her head against Max's shoulder, shivering.
Snowball seemed to be in his own world. His eyes were bloodshot from lack of sleep. Clearing his throat, the rabbit was about to begin the meeting when Pops blurted out, "This is all my fault."
