Jumping up and down with delight, Mel hugged his family. Weeping tears of joy, his mother Matilda cried, "After so long, we're finally together!" Meanwhile, the puppies Walter and Zayne were prancing around Bernie and Sonya happily. A warm feeling went around the apartment as smiles spread across everyone's face.
"I told you I'd find them," Mel whispered to Buddy and Sweetpea. Smiling at his friend, Buddy replied, "I never doubted you." Sweetpea opened his beak to say something but the dachshund clamped his paw over it as he continued, "Not one bit."
"Yeah right you big fat liar..." Chloe murmured, rolling her eyes.
"Chloe, shut up. It's a reunion," Buddy retorted quietly as he watched his best friend and his family.
