The girls were already standing on the sidewalk when the boys showed up. "I can't believe I agreed to this!" Chloe hissed in Lily's ear, who nodded solemnly in agreement. Tails wagging, Gidget and Sky greeted Max and Duke with friendly licks while Lisa lovingly kissed Norman on the cheek. The guinea pig's face blushed a deep red.
Just then, a taxi cab pulled up to the curb. The group watched as the driver's window rolled down. "Hop on in guys!" Tattoo exclaimed with a smile. After they climbed inside the cab, the pig peered at them through the rear view mirror. "Where's it going to be?" he asked.
"Pets' Diner, of course!" Duke informed Tattoo. Briskly nodding his head, Tattoo turned on some music while Bearded Dragon slammed on the gas pedal. The taxi cab lurched forward and sped down the street.
