Pacing around in a dark alley, Jet was on high alert. He was trying to be patient while waiting for Sonya to return. But he was slowly losing it. The tailless cat huffed and flexed his sharp claws. He hated the idea of waiting. And yet it seemed that the young pug he and his late brother had taken under their wings four years ago had a habit of killing his patience.

Suddenly, a fat raindrop landed on Jet's nose. Another landed on his forehead while another got his nose again. Groaning, the black cat muttered something under his breath as he crouched near a brick wall of an apartment building. Grumbling to himself, he rested his chin on his paws and closed his eyes. All of the sudden, a loud crash caught his attention. Huffing with annoyance, Jet opened his eyes and shouted, "Whoever you are, take your problems somewhere else!"

"I don't think we can do that," a voice growled as a black Labrador stepped forward from the shadows. A moment later, more dogs appeared. Baring his teeth, Lester gave the signal and chaos broke out...
