"Gidget, you were so right. I do need a break every now and then," Chloe commented from where she lounged on a pillow. Looking up from combing Sky's fur, Gidget replied, "You should listen to me more often Chloe." Nearby, Lily and Lisa giggled quietly while Linda returned from the kitchen with snacks.
"Thanks for coming over Mom," Gidget piped up, nuzzling her mother. Licking her daughter's forehead, Linda spoke softly, "Thank you for inviting me." The two shared a smile before Gidget went back to untangling Sky's fur.
Just then, the front door opened as Sonya entered. "I'm not late, am I?" she asked, sounding worried. Shaking her head, Lily answered, "We haven't even picked out a movie yet!" Chloe nodded her head, her mouth already filled with food.
Sitting up from doing crafts, Lisa asked, "Can we do this again soon?" Her aqua blue eyes pleaded silently. Smiling sweetly at the gray and white guinea pig, Gidget replied, "Of course! In fact, why not hold a girls' day every Wednesday?" A chorus of cheers rang out in the room. "And next time, someone should find Pepper!" Chloe shouted, finished with a bag of chips and slowly opening another.
