The next morning, Chloe lay stretched out upon the floor moaning. Maybe I shouldn't of eaten all those sweets last night... she scolded herself before adding, Who am I kidding?! It was totally worth it! Just then, her stomach entered another cramp, causing Chloe to double over. Groaning in pain, the tabby dragged herself towards her couch. Each movement sent another jolt of pain rushing through her body. Chloe hated to admit it, but she was in agony.
Just a floor below, Max and Duke listened quietly. "Is that Chloe?" Duke asked, sounding a little surprised as well as concerned for their tabby cat neighbor. Nodding his head, Max remarked thoughtfully, "This is probably worse than Thanksgiving of 2014..."
