A while later, Ozone and Lily were trotting down the sidewalk. After a delicious dinner, a bunch of jokes, and a karaoke performance, the others decided to take the taxi back home. But Ozone persisted that he would walk Lily to her alley himself. "Sure is nice out," Ozone pointed out, hoping to kindle a conversation. Lily, however, merely flicked her ear in irritation. Her tail was also beginning to swish.
Bounding over, the hairless cat looked the orange tabby straight in the eye. "You're in my way," Lily growled, her fur bristling. Smiling sweetly at her, Ozone whispered, "Yes, and I believe you're supposed to give me a little something." With that, he leaned forward.
Rolling her green eyes, Lily sidestepped and watched as Ozone landed flat on his face. "Idiot," she muttered under her breath, entering her alley. Lifting his head, Ozone sighed quietly. A dreamy look came over his face.
