"Now remember, nothing over the top!" Gidget called as she and the other pets prepared Pops' apartment for a special party. Groaning, Chloe grumbled, "Why are we even a part of this anniversary?!" Pushing the tabby cat of the table she was laying on, Nitro hissed, "It's a special day for several people, including yourself Chloe!" Eyes narrowing, Chloe merely hissed back. It took Myron, Sweetpea, Pepe, Tattoo, and several hamsters and dogs to separate them.
"Ozone, can you give me a paw here?" Leonard asked, trying to hang some streamers. He glanced over at his friend, who lounged on the couch while others passed by him. The hairless cat stared at the poodle blankly. "Never mind..." Leonard muttered, struggling. Ozone still hadn't gotten over Lily's death.
Just then, Leonard felt another's presence as a soft voice spoke, "Here, I'll help you out." Looking over to his right, the poodle locked eyes with a female dog. Instantly, his mouth went dry and his heart began to race. Remembering that he was asked a question, he stammered, "Uh... yeah! Thank... thank you!" The other dog giggled quietly as she gave him a paw.
