They were all waiting for Snowball to return with the DNA results. After he had drawn some blood from the two pugs, the white rabbit had went off to study it. That had been twenty minutes ago.
"He said it wouldn't hurt but it did!" Mel whimpering, looking at the dot of blood on his paw were the needle had entered. Rolling his eyes, Duke grumbled, "It shouldn't be hurting now!" Glancing at the window, the large mutt added, "Max, where's Gidget at the moment?" Looking up from where he was playing a board game with Buddy and Sweetpea, his brother replied, "She had other plans for today."
Just then, the front door swung open and almost crushed Chloe against the wall as Snowball entered the apartment. "Geez, you trying to give someone a heart attack!" Chloe hissed, her tail swishing angrily. Buddy, meanwhile, was struggling to catch his breath. Sonya was at his side within seconds.
Waving a sheet of paper, Snowball ignored Chloe's rude comment as he stated, "It's official! Mel and Sonya are one hundred percent siblings! In fact, they're almost identical twins!" Shocked, all eyes turned towards the two pugs, who were as equally surprised as they were.
