**Jess POV**

After around 10 minutes outside in the rain Colson calmed down and let me bring him inside I got him some PJ's and I got into mine we was now on the sofa drinking hot chocolate.

"What are we going to do," he says moving closer to me. I rest my head on his shoulder and sigh.

"There's only one more thing we can do even though I don't want to do it," I can tell his frowning.

"And what's that," I sigh and look up at him taking my head away from his shoulder.

"I got to get in touch with my father," he frowns I don't really or ever talk about him and for a good reason.

"My brother well half brother has been trying to contact me about him saying he isn't the man he use to be but to me he will always be that man," he looks at me.

"You don't speak about him often," I sigh

"My dad well he wasn't a very good dad every night he would come home drunk and be would hit my mum or me at times," his eyes go wide I've never told him this story I continue "my mom tried to end it multiple times but he wouldn't let her. My mom finally ended things and moved out of the house she met Sam whose Abs dad the one you've met who I class as my own my dad found out about the two and he wasn't happy he tried to make my mom's life miserable again but she wouldn't let that stand when she died she told me to be brave and look after Ab which I've always done. I never saw my dad since then and I was 14 I think. When I turned 18 he tried and tried to get in contact with me telling me his a changed man that he hasn't drank in months but I never gave him time of day. But if he is the person to save out daughter I need to get in touch I need to know," Colson nods

"I'll be with you every step off the way I won't let him hurt you," I smile and get out my phone.
