A/N: Today marks the 24th birthday of the most incredible man I've ever met. Tom, you are my inspiration, role model, and reason to smile. You are so incredibly sweet, generous, talented, and funny and I am so grateful to have crossed paths with you. You mean so much to your fans and you have made so many people happy over the course of your life. Thank you for everything, Tom. Happy Birthday!!!

You leaned over Tom's shoulder, watching him close his eyes to think of his birthday wish. The lights had been shut off completely so that the 24 candles on the cake you'd made him could shine to their full ability. Tom screwed up his face in a funny way.

"Come on, Tom! Make a wish, already!" Paddy chuckled from his place between Sam and Harry on the other side of the counter. Nikki was standing behind them with her camera, ready to get the perfect shot of her baby blowing out the color-striped candles on his Spider-Man-themed cake.

At last, Tom let out a large puff of air, extinguishing all 24 candles at once. The whole room applauded. Haz turned the lights back on as Dom started playing "Happy Birthday" on the kazoo. Nikki began excitedly showcasing the perfect photograph she'd gotten.

"I can't believe you're already 24," you muttered more to yourself than to Tom. You didn't mean for him to hear you, but he did.

"What?" Tom turned around and looked at you with a smile on his face.

"Oh, nothing..." you trailed off, trying to hide the nostalgia that had been nagging at you. "I just can't believe you're already 24. It went by so fast." You shook your head at yourself, watching Nikki carry the cake into the kitchen, calling Paddy, Sam, and Harry in with her to help dish it out. Dom, Harrison, and Tuwaine sat down on the couch on the other side of the room and began to talk amongst themselves.

"I know. It's crazy isn't it," Tom replied, shaking his head as well. "Hey...what's the matter?" You were teary-eyed, but you blinked, trying to hide it.

"Nothing," you managed, wiping your eyes with your ring fingers. Tom gave you one of his I-don't-believe-you  looks. You chuckled. "I guess it's just hard to believe that we're a quarter of the way through life, I mean, I remember when we were six and you had a bouncy-castle in your yard for your party. And when we were ten and you decided to just spend the day with me and Haz because you only wanted us around..." you were lost in fond past memories.

"Oh, I get it," Tom told you, nodding to himself. He scooted his chair out from behind the counter and patted his lap for you to sit on. You did so, putting your head on his shoulder. "Y/N, I know life goes by fast and it's scary to realize that all of the sudden, you're not little anymore. Life is real now. There are no more bouncy castle parties to attend," he joked. You laughed weakly. "but I know I'll be okay. You know how?" he asked, mumbling the last bit into your hair.

"How?" You looked up at him. He smiled.

"Because I know you'll be right there with me."

A/N: Alright! That was it. I hope you guys enjoyed. Don't forget to send Tom happy birthday thoughts! And maybe eat a croissant in his honor 😉. I love you all dearly!
