Leah's POV
I was putting my belongings, for the teaching practice, back into the trunk of my car - the car T and I now shared. As I was loading it, I couldn't stop smiling. Finally, I was done with this. Finally, I'd have some rest.
I stopped when my phone buzzed. I reached for it in my back pocket and smiled before answering it. "Hey."
"Hey Leah, so how did it go?" Cam asked.
I smiled, it meant a lot to me that she remembered about me. She remembered this was my last day of teaching practice. A small gesture like that meant a lot to me. "It went well," I let out a deep breath. "But I'm glad it's over."
"I can imagine," She paused. "Hey, would you like to do something fun, to celebrate?"
I raised my eyebrows. "Like what?"
"Well, you could come over and we could play some video games, I know you love that."
I smiled instantly. "That sounds great," I closed the trunk of my car. "I'll be there in 20 minutes."
"Ok, I can't wait."
"Neither can I." I then hung up the phone before getting in the car. I then took my phone again and sent a text to T, telling her I'd be home later.
I started the car and drove towards Cam's house. On my way over, I heard my phone buzz. T must've answered already. I wondered what she would say about me getting home later. Would she question it? I somehow expected her to question me about the person I called yesterday evening in bed, but she didn't. Maybe it was her way of showing me she trusted me... I don't know.
I arrived at Cam's place and parked the car in front of her house. I got out and walked to the front door but, before I even had to ring the doorbell, Cam opened the door immediately. She must've been looking out the window for me... She's still Cam.
"Hey," I smiled before entering the house. "Are your parents home?"
"Nope," She walked to the tv, before sitting down on the couch. "It's just us now," She then looked at me as I was sitting down too. "Is that a problem?" She smirked.
I nudged her before taking the controller. "So what game will we play?"
"Whatever you want, it's your day today."
I smiled once more. "Thanks, Cam."

"So you still haven't talked to her then?" Cam asked before taking a bite out of her slice of pizza. We had ordered it after playing video games for 2 hours.
I shook my head. "I don't know how to..."
She slowly nodded.
"I wonder if she feels the same as I do," I sighed. "I mean, she must feel it too, right?"
"It's hard to say," She put her slice down. "I don't know her that well, but I've always seen how much she cared about you. She wouldn't hurt you, she wouldn't let anyone hurt you. So whatever happened, it must've been... big."
I looked down. "Why can't things go back to the way they used to be?"
"Leah," She put her hand on my shoulder. "What did you promise to her at your wedding?"
I slowly nodded.
"In good and bad days," She patted my shoulder then. "These are bad days, it happens. Life can't be good all the time, besides, it'd be pretty boring if it were."
I looked at her.
"When our relationship ended, I was so unhappy. I was jealous and wanted to get your attention again. But I realize now that things happen for a reason. You weren't meant to be with me," She showed me a small smile. "You were needed to be with Talia."
I looked down again. I appreciated what Cam was saying here, it showed a lot of growth on her part. I was happy the way we were now. She was a great support, she understood me. "Why does it feel like T and I aren't meant to be then?" I looked back at Cam. "It doesn't feel right to me anymore..."
Cam's smile faded, it seemed she genuinely was upset that she was hearing this.
I sighed. "Maybe we were so fond of each other because of the thrill of an illegal relationship. Maybe we were just enjoying the forbidden fruit..."
"Leah," Cam made me look at her. "We both know that's not true."
I sighed but nodded.

I parked the car in front of T's house - our house, I should say. I got out of the car and walked to the front door. I entered the house. "I'm home."
I got out of my jacket and put my backpack down. Then I looked around the house as I didn't get a response back...
"T?"
I walked to the living room: the tv wasn't on, the lights were off, the curtains were closed. I gulped before going around the whole first floor. "T?" I found nothing. No sign of her.
I walked to the stairs, I rushed upstairs and went straight to the place I found her at last time: the bathroom. I entered but was relieved to see her in the bath.
She looked at me. "Hey," She sat up. "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you." She motioned to the radio which was playing music.
I let out a deep breath before sitting down next to the bathtub.
"How was your last day?"
I looked at her. It's now or never, I thought. "We need to talk."
She seemed taken back that I'd change the subject just like that but somehow she seemed relieved I brought it up, perhaps she wanted us to talk. "Let me get out first, ok?"
I slowly nodded before we both got up. I handed her the towel and got out of the bathroom. I went to our bedroom and sat down on the bed. Then I waited. I was waiting impatiently for her to get here. Part of me wanted her to hurry so I could spill my feelings and thoughts, but part of me was dreading this encounter. What if we end up getting a divorce...?
Either way, I couldn't avoid it anymore. I had said the sentence, T understood, there was no way back. It was best this way: the short pain. Like pulling off a bandaid: do it quick. Why wait, really?
T entered the room and looked at me. "Where shall we begin?"
I gulped and looked her in the eyes. "What happened between you and Heather?"
