Leah's POV
"Besides school, today was actually fine," I looked at T and saw she was looking at me. I had learned now that she was indeed listening to what I was saying but she didn't respond. "The train was delayed a lot though, but I'm happy to be back home with you."
She blinked a bit but didn't respond.
"You know," I sighed a bit and got closer to her. "I've been thinking about what happened to us," I saw she was focused really hard on what I was saying. It was clear, she was interested in what I was going to say. "I'm so sorry this happened to you, baby," I gently caressed her face. "I understand you're upset, but I hope you can find the strength again to be you."
She looked down a bit.
"I know it's hard," I said, gaining her attention again. "I want to fight alongside you so we can hopefully one day have kids."
A tear rolled down her face. She started crying.
I scooted closer to her. "It's ok," I pulled her into my chest. "I know it's hard," I said softly while caressing her back. "I know, baby."
T had finally wrapped her arms around me and cried in my chest. It may not seem much but to me, this was progress.

I was seated on a bench in the park. I was tapping the ground with my feet, in a certain rhythm. I always tended to do that when I waited for something or someone.
"Hey Leah," Cam walked to me and sat down next to me. She turned her upper body so she was facing me, her arm was on the railing of the bench behind us. "So, you wanted to talk to me?"
I smiled. "I wanted to see you," I turned towards her too. "I've been curious how you've been. I haven't heard much from you anymore..." I smirked. "Maybe you've been busy with someone?" I hinted.
She chuckled. "I wish," She shook her head. "I've been busy with school actually," She sighed. "I can't wait for summer."
"Yeah..."
She frowned. "How is Talia doing?"
I shrugged. "She still has a long way to go."
"Of course," Cam placed her hand on my leg. "She will need time to give this a place but she will get over it. She has done so before."
I shrugged. Somehow, I wasn't entirely convinced.
"She has tried to get pregnant twice, and both times it failed," She said, making me look down. "Maybe you two have to look for different options."
I slowly nodded. "I've heard that before," I sighed deeply. "But I don't think T will want that," I looked at Cam. "It's her biggest wish to be a mother, there's nothing else in this world she wants more."
"She can still be a mother if she adopts a child, for example."
I looked away briefly, giving that some thought. "I don't know, Cam," I finally said. "I think she's keen on having her own child," I looked at Cam. "I think she really wants to go through the whole process."
Cam nodded slowly. "I just think she should listen to her body," She looked at me. "And she should think about you."
I raised my eyebrows a bit. "Me? I'm doing fine."
"Yeah, you've said that but I can see you've been trying to stay strong for her," She shook her head. "This whole situation also affects you. I know Talia has her mind set on getting pregnant but she should also think about the consequences when it comes to you," She patted my leg a bit. "Because you're important too." She then showed me a small smile.
I smiled back. "I'll talk to her about it, it can't hurt," I sighed a bit. "Thanks, Cam."

Later that day, I got back home. I let out a breath. I was content. It felt good to get out of the house for once. It was nice to see Cam and talk to her about how things were going for me. It was nice that it was all about me for once.
I put away my jacket and took off my shoes. I then walked around the living room. "Heather?" I frowned when I didn't see her. "Heather?"
Suddenly I heard a meow and Felix jumped up onto the table.
"Oh, hey Felix," I petted him. "You scared me a bit," I looked around some more. "Have you seen your mama?"
He looked at me as if I was crazy and ran away, back to wherever he would go.
I sighed and decided to go upstairs. I made my way upstairs and went to Heather's room. I knocked before I entered but she wasn't there either. I frowned more. Where was she?
I walked to our bedroom. I slowly opened the door and was surprised to see Heather there. She was standing at the back of the room, just looking at T.
I walked to her and nudged her to follow me, which she did. When we were out of the room, I closed the door and looked at her. "What were you doing there?"
"I was watching Talia."
I nodded slowly. "I saw that," I paused a bit. "It just seemed a bit too much. You can perfectly be downstairs too, you don't have to literally watch her all the time."
"I know," She looked down then. She was getting serious again. "But what if something happens when I'm downstairs?" She looked at me then. "I just want to make sure she's doing alright."
My face softened when I heard that. She was really scared that T might try to hurt herself again. I slowly nodded. "I understand."
She nodded.
"I actually wanted to ask you something," I started, wanting to change the topic a bit. "Do you think T would be open for adoption?"
Heather's facial expression changed a lot. It seemed she didn't expect me to ask this at all. "Adoption?"
I slowly nodded.
She seemed to think about it a bit. "I don't know," She frowned a bit then. "I do know that she always wanted to be a mother," She paused. "I know she always wanted to give birth and breastfeed her child," She smiled a bit. "She wanted ALL of it."
I sighed and nodded. "That's what I feared too."
Heather looked at me. "You can always try to talk to her about it, see how she reacts. But do it gently. It's going to be a hard blow for her."
I slowly nodded. "I will. Thanks."
