Leah's POV
"To a nice dinner." T said, raising her glass.
I smiled and raised mine as well. "To a nice dinner."
We both took a sip before putting our glasses back down. Then we looked at the menu for a bit. We were both pretty picky eaters. Both for different reasons. T was just picky, period. I was picky because I had to avoid certain things due to my disease.
"What are you going to have?" T asked.
I shrugged. "There are several options I like," I went over the meals again. "I don't know."
She chuckled. "You'll have to pick something, eventually."
I looked at her. "Well, what are you having?"
She smiled, almost as if she was pleased I had asked this question: "Spaghetti carbonara."
I nodded, I knew she loved that. I personally could stand that dish, it's why she would take it so often when we went out.
"What about you?"
I looked around again before looking at her. "Pasta with spinach and salmon."
She nodded. "Sounds good," She then motioned to a waiter. When he got near, she ordered for the both of us, as she usually did. Then she looked at me. She smiled. "So how was your day?"
I shrugged. "Busy," I let out a breath. "I'm happy it's Friday."
She nodded again. "Weekend!"
I chuckled. "Yeah."
After some time, our food arrived. T would always want to have me try her food, but I refused most times. Especially when she'd have spaghetti carbonara. She would try my food nearly all the time.
"That was good." I caressed my belly, happy with my meal.
T nodded. "Want some dessert?" She immediately took the menu again, already looking for desserts.
Even though I wasn't planning on getting a dessert, I did take the menu and looked at the desserts. I was already full but those desserts looked great.
"I'm taking a tiramisu," She then looked at me. "You?"
I gulped. I shouldn't... "I don't know..."
"What about chocolate lava cake?" She smiled at me. "You love those."
I sighed. "Yeah, I do."
"That's settled." She motioned to the waiter and ordered the desserts, even though I wasn't sure I wanted one...
A few moments later, the desserts arrived. T was eating her dessert like she hadn't eaten before. I, on the other hand, was eating much slower. I wasn't sure whether I should be eating this...
After we were done with the desserts, we went back to the car. "That was good," T concluded as we had entered the car. She started the car, and drove towards my mom, where our kids were. "Don't you think?"
I nodded before looking outside.
"Baby," She said, putting her hand on my knee. "What's going on? You've been quiet."
I sighed but didn't say anything.
"Please, talk to me," She glanced at me. "You're making me worried."
I gulped. "I don't think I should've eaten that dessert."
She frowned a bit. "Why? You love chocolate lava cake," She glanced at me again. "Didn't you like it?"
