Leah's POV
I didn't like winter. Sure it's nice to get home and get all cozy with a blanket in front of the tv. But that's it. I'm not too fond of the cold, the snow, the ice on the streets, the viruses...
When I got home from work, I was so happy to close the front door behind me and get some rest. But, unfortunately, I didn't get that. I dropped my backpack by the door and looked around with my mouth open.
Everywhere were decorations. It seemed like Christmas had thrown up into our house. Or Santa and his elves had moved in with us for a bit. Either way, it was a lot.
"Hey baby," T said as she walked to me. She had a box in her hands. She leaned closer to kiss my lips briefly. "How was your day?"
I looked around before looking at the box in her arms. "What's in there?"
"This?" She asked, even though she definitely knew what I was referring to. "It's just stuff."
I raised my eyebrows. "What stuff?"
She motioned me to follow her. We walked to the living room where she put the box on the ground.
While she was doing that, I tried to take in what had happened to my house.
T opened the box and showed its contents to me. "More decorations."
"More?" I asked shockingly. "Do we really need more?"
T looked at me as if I had asked something odd.
"Baby," I smiled. "It's great how you decorate our home every year for Christmas, but this is..." I motioned to all the decorations. "It's a lot."
Instead of taking my words as a warning, she smiled at them. "Yeah," She nodded, she seemed proud of her work. "I love it too."
"Baby," I walked to her. "Where does all this stuff come from?"
She looked back at me. "I bought some things."
"Some things?"
She nodded. "I wanted to make this Christmas special."
"Why?"
She looked away briefly. She shrugged. "I just wanted to."
I slowly nodded.
"And I know you don't really like Christmas," She reached for my hands, holding them in hers. "But I hope celebrating it with me has changed that a bit?" She smiled.
I smiled too. "Yeah," I looked around. "Even though the decorations are a bit much," I looked at her. "I love spending it with you."
"And that's what Christmas is all about," She smiled before looking to her right. "No nounours," She let go of my hands and rushed to the Christmas tree. She took Emil away from it. "Those are for Christmas."
Emil looked upset.
I smiled at him. "I remember when my dad had his Christmas presents underneath the Christmas tree," I let out a breath. "I couldn't stand not opening them."
T smiled at me. "See, a nice memory."
I rolled my eyes before looking at Emil. "Why don't we let tata decorate a bit more while we play?"
Emil looked at me. "We wead?"
I smiled at him. "Sure, I'll read."
Emil clapped his hands before walking off.
I watched him for a bit before looking at T. "Where is Jin?"
T's facial expression changed. Ever since the 'puzzle incident' her view of Jin changed, unfortunately. "Upstairs." She replied quickly.
