Talia's POV
The IVs worked wonders for Leah. No longer was she in pain, she could finally relax and sit down again, she was happy again. And that made me happy too.
Our days were seemingly always the same: we'd go to school - each our own way - then we'd get home, we'd have dinner, we'd watch tv, she'd be on her computer while I continued to watch tv, then we'd go to bed. It was a simple life. Unfortunately, on some days, things weren't that easy...
It was morning, I was exhausted. I had barely slept. Leah was in pain and had woken up several times during the night. It wasn't her fault, so I didn't tell her I was feeling miserable too.
I had prepared breakfast for us. We were eating it until she ran away, she was in pain again... I sighed, realizing she couldn't go to school this way.
I took my phone and called her mother. "Hey."
"Hey, Talia."
"Listen, Leah had a bad night," I said, immediately gaining a deep sigh from her. "She can't go to school, are you able to watch her today?"
"I'm sorry," She sighed yet again. "I'm at work..."
"No, it's alright," I gulped. "I'll find someone else."
"Ok," She sounded upset, she was clearly unhappy she couldn't be there for her daughter. "Please, keep me updated."
"I will," Then I hung up the phone, I thought about anyone else who could watch her. I nodded before calling the next person on my list. "Hey, mom."
"Hey, honey," She sounded so happy. "How are you?"
"I'm fine," I sighed. "I need your help."
"Sure, honey, what is it?"
I looked towards the stairs, the direction Leah had rushed to. "Leah isn't feeling well, she had a bad night," I paused. "Are you able to watch her today?"
"Oh poor Leah," She exclaimed. "Of course, we'll be on our way, don't you worry."
"Thanks, mom." I then hung up the phone and continued eating breakfast.
When Leah got back downstairs, after some time, she sat down too. "I'm sorry," She said before taking her fork and knife again. "It's a delicious breakfast, baby."
I showed her a small smile. "Baby, you don't need to apologize," I caressed her hand gently. "This isn't your fault."
"I know," She sighed. "I just hate it."
"I know, baby," I then got up, as I had to get going to work. "Take it easy today, ok?"
She nodded.
I walked to her and kissed her lips briefly. "I'll see you tonight," I then walked to the front door but, before I'd leave, I turned to her. "By the way, mom and dad will be watching you today."
"What?" Leah walked to me. "Why?"
"You don't feel well."
She sighed.
"Have a good day, baby." I kissed her and left.

Leah's POV
I was seated on the couch, relaxing and watching tv. It was fine like this, the pain seemingly had passed. I was glad, but I was also happy to take a day off.
Then the doorbell rang, and I sighed again. I got up and walked to the front door, there I saw T's mom and dad. "Hello." I said before moving aside so they could enter.
