Leah's POV
"Are you sure you're going to be ok?" T asked me as she was running around the house, looking for all sorts of things.
"Yeah," I watched her run around from the couch. I had my laptop on my lap, and I was planning on writing some more whilst she was gone. "It's just an afternoon, I'll manage."
She stopped and looked at me. "If there's anything," She came to sit with me. "Anything at all," She took my hand in hers, squeezing it a bit. "Don't hesitate to call me."
"I know, baby."
"I'll rush home."
I smiled. "I know, baby."
T smiled back before getting startled by the doorbell. She cursed. "They're early!" She said as she walked to the front door.
I chuckled before going back to my laptop. I was looking at the empty page. The cursor blinked, waiting for me to type something, anything. But nothing really came.
Suddenly the couch next to me went down a bit. When I looked to my right, I saw Heather sitting there. She had a smirk on her face, one I used to be afraid of but now I knew what that meant.
"Hi, psycho." She was teasing me, as she loved to do that. I guess she loved getting a reaction from me. Maybe that's why we clashed so well before...
"Hi." I said before looking back at my computer screen.
Heather felt no shame at all and easily pushed me aside to look too. "What's there to see?"
I pushed her away again. "Nothing," I sighed deeply. "That's the problem. There's just nothing."
She raised her eyebrows.
I sighed again as that probably made no sense. "Since T's going out, I thought I should use this time to write," I looked back at my computer screen. "But nothing's coming to me, it's almost as if..."
"As if you're hitting a wall."
I looked at her, and nodded. "Exactly."
She nodded. "You've got writer's block, dear."
I sighed again. "I figured," I groaned. "I just want to continue," I looked back at my computer screen. "It used to be so easy to write," I motioned to the screen. I was looking at my previous works, I was proud of them. I wanted to be proud of the rest that was to come. "I want more of those."
She once again looked at the screen. "Which ones usually go easily?"
I looked at her. "I guess the ones with a good base," I said, gaining a nod from her. "Usually sequels and threequels are easier to write."
She nodded.
"Like the vampire series, that one - "
"You wrote a vampire series," She immediately took my computer. "Where?"
I took my computer back. "I did, it was fun to explore that genre."
"I bet," She seemed really interested all of the sudden. "Tell me about it."
I smiled when I thought about it. "There's a girl, Lily, she meets the vampire boss, Catherine, and - "
"Catherine," Heather breathed out. She nodded. "Yeah, that sounds good," She then looked at me. "She's the dominant one."
I immediately nudged her. "There are children." I whisper shouted while motioning to them.
Heather glanced at them before looking at me. She shrugged. "The earlier they learn, the better."
