Leah's POV
"Here you go, baby," I said as I handed T a glass of water. I then went to sit down and looked at her. "Are you hungry?"
She shook her head.
"You have to eat something."
"I know," She sighed. "I'm just not hungry," She looked at me then. "It's always a struggle to push the food down my throat."
I slowly nodded. "You should do what feels good to you, baby."
She smiled a bit and looked away. She did this most times: just staring off at nothing. She didn't talk that much. I tried to talk to her as much as I could so she wouldn't stop responding to anyone.
Before I could come up with a new topic, there was a knock on the door.
We both looked at the door and smiled when we saw Charlotte. "Hey," She said gently. She walked to us, greeting us both with a small hug. She then stood in front of T's bed and looked at us. "How are things here?" She asked, mainly looking at me.
I slowly nodded before looking at T, giving her the chance to talk. T shrugged. "I don't know," She sighed. "I don't know how to feel or what to think."
I saw how Charlotte's facial expression softened. "I'm so sorry, Talia," She then looked at me. "For you too, Leah."
I nodded before looking at T. She looked so down. She barely responded. Exactly what I feared for...
"How's school?" I asked Charlotte, trying to peak T's attention.
"It's pretty hectic now," She looked at T. "They're trying to figure out what to do with the math classes now that you're absent."
I looked at T, hoping she'd respond to that but she didn't. I sighed.
"Have you guys seen Heather lately?" Charlotte suddenly asked.
I raised my eyebrows. "She was here a few days ago," I looked at T and saw she wasn't really participating in the conversation, so I looked at Charlotte again. "Why? What's up with her?"
Charlotte chuckled. "Mary and I think she's in love."
This finally peaked T's attention. "In love?"
Charlotte looked at T. "Yes," She nodded. "I know, it's odd. I never thought I'd witness this..."
"Witness what?" I was also intrigued by this topic. I didn't see Heather as the dating type.
Charlotte looked at me then. "She's..." She thought about it for a while. "She's singing in the hallways, she gets us nice treats before school, she smiles at the students..." She chuckled again. "It's so odd to witness."
I let out a breath. "Why couldn't this have happened when she was my teacher?"
Charlotte chuckled more.
T frowned though. "I never thought she would actually fall in love."
I looked at T. "Everyone eventually finds someone they have feelings for."
"I know," T frowned more. "But not Heather," She said, gaining a nod from Charlotte who seemingly agreed with what T was saying. "Heather doesn't do 'relationships'."
I raised my eyebrows. "Then what does she do?"
"She goes on a date or two with a girl, maybe has a sleepover, then moves on," Charlotte said, gaining a nod from T. "She doesn't keep them."
"She never really seemed to care that much about a steady relationship." T added.
I slowly nodded. "This doesn't surprise me."
They both chuckled.

Charlotte had stayed 30 more minutes before she had to go. I thanked her afterward because T had a good time. I was happy T was smiling and talking to people. It gave me hope.
I was in the hallway, getting a cup of coffee for T and a cup of hot chocolate milk for myself. I was waiting for the cup to get ready.
"Hey, psycho."
Without turning around, I knew exactly who it was. After all, there was only one person that called me 'psycho'... "Hey, Heather." I said, still keeping my back to her.
"Leah, uhm," She paused a bit, she seemed unsure somehow. "I need your help."
I quickly turned around as that peaked my attention.
Heather seemed so insecure, so shy. She looked down, fidgeting with her hands. "When you have a problem that you want to talk about with your therapist, how do you reach out to her?"
I raised my eyebrows. "Uhm," I frowned a bit, trying to understand why she was asking this. "I can e-mail her or text or call her."
Instantly, a smile appeared on her face. "You have her phone number?"
I gulped a bit. "I-I don't understand."
She walked forward. "You've got Eva's phone number?"
I slowly nodded.
"Can I borrow it?"
I once again raised my eyebrows. "Borrow her phone number?"
She nodded.
I looked away briefly, giving this whole conversation some more thought. I then looked back at her. "You're in love with Eva."
Instantly she started blushing. "No," She gulped. "No, I'm not."
I couldn't help the grin that was building on my face. "You're in love!"
She immediately stepped forward and covered my mouth. "Keep it down, will you?"
I pulled her hands away. "Come on, Heather, you don't have to be ashamed," I smiled at her. "It's amazing that you found someone you like."
She looked away, she once again seemed unsure.
"It's really great," I nudged her a bit, trying to make her feel better. "I hope it works out between you two."
She looked at me then. "Since you don't want to give me her contact information," She looked down a bit. "Is there any way to get in touch with her without those?" She sighed deeply. "Or do I really have to be her patient first?"
I chuckled a bit. "I don't think you have to go to extremes like that."
She sighed deeply, she seemed so desperate then. I almost felt bad for her.
"I'll hint at it with Eva," I said, gaining her attention. "We'll see how it goes from there."
She sighed and looked away.
"I don't know if she's gay though..." I thought out loud.
"She is," Heather said and looked away. "It's pretty obvious."
"How so?"
She looked at me then. "Your gaydar really is broken," She then looked at the cup of coffee which was done for a while now. She took it. "Let's go to Talia." She then started walking to T's room.
I shook my head a bit before going after her.
