Leah's POV
The next day, I had woken up early. I was alone, in bed. T never showed up, I assumed she was out again. Either way, it showed she wanted distance from me.
I had breakfast, on my own, and thought about what was said last night. I thought about it during the night too, I didn't really sleep, I couldn't stop thinking or crying. I did lose T, I knew I did. Perhaps I should think about myself now?
I finished breakfast and headed upstairs. I took a suitcase and started packing all of my possessions. All my clothes, all my stuff, everything. I had called mom in the process to come to get me. I was going to stay there, back at my mom's house. Like most students, I guess...
I had carried the suitcase downstairs and parked it at the front door. Then I put on my jacket and shoes and waited. While I waited, I looked at the house. The house T and I had shared for 2 years. The house we had spent so many good times in. The house we had our dates in. The house we had our secret and illegal relationship in.
The doorbell rang, mom had arrived. I opened the door. Mom's face spoke volumes. "Leah." She said before pulling me into her. It's at that moment that I burst out in tears.

We arrived at the house and I couldn't help but let out a deep sigh. Somehow this felt like a step back, a huge step back. Don't get me wrong, I was very thankful for mom to let me back in but I enjoyed my life on my own with T. Going back... It felt weird.
"Hey," Mom said, placing her hand on my leg. "It's going to be alright."
I looked down. "I had hoped things between T and I wouldn't turn out this way..."
"I know," She sighed. "We all want our relationships to last forever and be good all the time," She let out a deep sigh. "Unfortunately, it's not always the case."
I slowly nodded. "Mom," I looked at her. "Do you think T and I will get divorced?"
She seemed visibly taken back by my question as if she didn't think I'd think about a divorce. Honestly, I didn't want to think about a divorce but the way T was acting... I feared it might lead to that.
When mom didn't answer, I sighed and got out of the car. Somehow that silence spoke volumes to me. I went to the trunk and opened it to retrieve my suitcase.
"I don't think so," Mom suddenly said as she stood next to me. "You two are made for one another."
I put my suitcase down and gulped. "Then why is she acting this way?"
Mom let out a deep breath. "I don't know, honey," She closed the trunk and took some of the stuff. "Give her some time, she'll realize you're the best she can get." She showed me a small smile before going inside the house.
I couldn't help but smile too. I took my suitcase and followed her inside the house.
We walked to my old room and put the stuff in there. I let out a breath as I looked around. "It's been a while since I've spent a night here..."
Mom chuckled. "True."
I looked at her. "We'll make the best of it."
"Of course, we will, honey," She pulled me in for a hug again. The hug lasted for a bit before she pulled back to look me in the eyes. "I know you don't want to hear it but I'm happy to have my baby girl back, even just for a little bit."
I smiled. "I love you, mom."
"I love you too, honey."

"So you really moved back in with your mom?" Cam asked.
I nodded before taking a sip from my drink.
"Wow..." She shook her head. "That lady is blind."
I looked at her. "What lady?"
"Your wife," She huffed. "She had the best thing but decides to trade it for a lesser choice..." She shook her head. "She's blind as hell."
I smiled at Cam. "Thanks."
She smiled at me.
Cam and I were still the best of friends. It was a bit hard at first for Cam to get used to T. There was always a bit of tension as Cam didn't feel like anyone deserved me. However, Cam did come around as she saw how happy I was. She had my back, always, and I appreciated her for that.
"So what's the plan now?" She asked. "Are you going to talk to her or are you going to wait for her to come to you?"
I shrugged. "I don't even know where she is now..." I looked down, my wedding ring came into view. Ever since I graduated from high school, I wore it every day. I was proud to wear it, I was proud to be T's wife. Now it was a sad reminder of what I used to have with her. "Maybe she's with Heather again..."
"Is Heather really that bad?"
I looked up at Cam.
"I mean, I don't know her the way you do..." She shrugged. "You've said some stories, I just wondered."
I nodded. "I don't like her," I sighed. "She's constantly trying to get on my nerves as if she wants to prove to everyone she's better than me."
Cam slowly nodded. "Sounds to me she has a complex."
I couldn't help but smile a bit. "A complex?"
Cam smiled too now. "I don't know..."
I shook my head before looking away, at nothing in particular, then my eyes widened.
"Leah?" Cam followed my gaze. "What's wrong?"
I gulped as I tried to keep my anger at bay. "That's Heather."
"Oh, yeah..." She said, gaining my attention. "That's the witch," She nodded. "She's hot though."
I nudged her.
"Auw, what?" She rubbed her hand, which I had slapped. "You can't deny that."
I shrugged.
"See!" She laughed a bit. "Thank God, I almost thought you lost your appetite for women."
I rolled my eyes as Cam continued laughing.
"Hey, Leah."
My face dropped as I looked down, at my drink. "Heather."
"Hey, Heather." Cam empathized Heather's name, obviously mocking Heather.
Heather had a tough armor though and wasn't bothered by it, she continued to aim her attention at me. "So I heard you moved out?"
Oh, she did? So T told her... Why on Earth would she do that? She's just giving Heather was she wants... I don't get her, I really don't. "So?"
"So you finally realized Talia and you aren't compatible after all?"
I clenched my fists, and Cam noticed. "You must have had a bad childhood." Cam suddenly said.
"Excuse me?" Heather replied.
"Picking on someone who's obviously going through a rough time..." Cam nodded before looking at Heather. "Who taught you to be so cruel? Was it your mother? Or your father? Or bullies?"
Heather seemed lost for words for a bit before she looked at me again. She gulped and turned around, walking away.
When she was far enough from us, Cam and I laughed. "And that's how you deal with people like that." Cam said before taking a sip of her drink.
