Leah's POV
As the days went on, I avoided T. I couldn't help it, I just couldn't look at her. I was angry with her, I felt deeply betrayed. Whenever T and I tried having a conversation about her pregnancy, she didn't seem to want to understand my side of this. She only saw her side, the positive things about this...
And so, as weeks went by, T and I barely talked with each other. She was going through this on her own, and she seemed fine with it. Sometimes I'd see her look at her growing belly in the mirror, she'd show me too but I was just not having this. It surprised me how my feelings towards our child didn't grow. My anger towards T overpowered me.
After some time, T's friends were told the news. I could tell they noticed the tension between T and me. They were happy first but soon enough their smile dropped when they saw I wasn't excited. Our parents had practically the same reaction.
I told my friends soon after, they were happy for me, I pretended to be happy too. I didn't want to come across as the bad person in this situation.
However, Cam knew me well enough."So," She said as we met up in the park. We were walking around, at a slow pace. "How are things at home?"
I sighed deeply.
"Not good still?"
I shook my head.
"What does Talia say?"
I looked at Cam. "Nothing, she just continues to enjoy her pregnancy," I sighed again. "I can't help but feel angry with her."
"Understandable," Cam paused. "But it's not really like you can get around it anymore," She looked at me. "How far is she?"
I looked down. "4 months," I let out a breath. "I can't deal with this, it's literally a ticking time bomb," I looked at Cam. "Am I a bad person for not liking this?"
"Leah, of course not," Cam wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "You feel you're not ready," She shrugged. "It's what you feel, no one can blame you for feeling that."
I sighed.
"But it's not going to change," She said, making me look down again. "So maybe you should try to focus on the child instead of on Talia?"
I stopped walking, making Cam stop too. I looked at her. "What happened to you?" I smiled at her.
She smiled too. "I got more life experience," She chuckled. "Is it not good? Would you rather have me act like before?"
"No," I immediately replied. "This is nice," I smiled at her. "Thank you, Cam."
She nodded.
We continued walking again. For a while, nothing was said. We were just walking side by side, enjoying nature's breeze.
"You know," I said, breaking the silence. "You're right," I looked at her. "Maybe I was so keen on staying angry with T that I missed the beautiful thing I'll get in a few months," I paused. "A baby."
She nodded.
I nodded too. "Hey Cam," I looked back in front of me. "Do you want to go shopping with me?"
She looked at me. "Shopping? Yes, where?"
I smiled.

Cam wasn't really happy anymore when she saw where we were going to: a baby store. Thankfully, she did help me pick out a nice gift for the baby: a cute piece of clothing.
After shopping, I rushed home. I entered the house, happy to have this gift and to make amends with T. "Baby," I looked around in the meantime. "I'm home!"
I went to the living room, she wasn't there. I went to the kitchen, she wasn't there. It's a sad thing, but I immediately rushed to the bathroom. When I opened the door, I was both happy and worried to not find her there. Just as I was about to leave, I spotted something, in the toilet. I walked to it and gasped when I saw blood...
I went downstairs and took my phone. I immediately called T, but it went straight to voicemail. I groaned before calling her parents, they answered the phone but knew nothing. I then called Charlotte, she knew nothing either. I sighed as I knew I had to call Heather.
"Yes?"
I gulped. "Have you heard from T?"
"No," She sounded genuinely worried. "Why? What happened?"
"I don't know," I sighed. "She's not home, but there's blood in the toilet..."
She cursed, and it only got me more worried. "I'll come to you." She then hung up.
A couple of minutes later, she arrived. She motioned me to get in her car, which I hesitantly did. She drove us, somewhere, but didn't tell me the destination. After some time, I did look at her. "Where are we going?"
She had to stop at a red light, she used this opportunity to look at me. "Blood in the toilet..." She sighed. "I'm guessing she went to the doctor."
I frowned.
"It's not good, Leah," She then started the car. "I think you'll have to be there for her, to comfort her."
I nodded and looked back at the front. While we were getting closer and closer to the doctor's office, my mind was racing with thoughts. I wondered why she would need me. I figured blood in the toilet wasn't a good thing but was it that bad?
We arrived at the doctor's office. "Look," I pointed to T's car, which was parked there. "That's our car."
Heather parked her car and looked at T's car. "She's definitely here," She then looked at me. "Go on," She motioned me to get out. "Go be with your wife."
I looked at Heather and, for the first time since I had met her, I saw a good side of Heather. I nodded and left her car.

I looked around the waiting room, I didn't see her. I went to the receptionist. "Excuse me, ma'am, I'm wondering if you know what room my wife is in?"
"What's her name?"
"Talia Jacobs."
She was busy looking at her computer screen before looking at me again. "She in room 2, with her usual doctor."
I nodded. "Can I go inside?"
"I'll have to call the doctor first," She said to which I nodded. I waited for her to finish the short conversation. Then she looked at me. "You may enter."
"Thank you." I said before walking to room 2.
I entered the room and saw the doctor look at me with an apologetic face, then my eyes landed on T, she was leaning forward while her face was buried in her hands.
I gulped before taking a seat next to T. "Baby," I saw she wasn't responding at all so I looked at the doctor. "W-what's wrong? What happened?"
"Leah," He said, gaining my attention immediately. "I'm very sorry," He paused, giving me time to prepare for his bad news. "Talia has lost the baby."
