Leah's POV

After T and I agreed to get pregnant, things went fast. T made sure to arrange everything as fast as possible, she really didn't want to wait anymore.

One day, she came home with a lot of papers. She was going through them and seemed to forget I was even there in the room with her.

As I approached her, I noticed it was information for the pregnancy. I frowned as I tried to read what was written on it.

T looked up. "Hey," She patted the chair next to her. "This is a list of possible donors."

I frowned. "Donors?"

She nodded. "The sperm donors."

"Oh..." I looked at it. "Why do we get a list?"

She looked at the list then. "These are the donors that best match us," She pointed at the details on the lists. "Here you see the physical description of the donors," She then looked at me. "We have to find someone who matches your physical description."

I frowned again. "Why?"

T smiled then, I could tell she thought I was cute for not knowing anything about this. "So the child will look like us," She looked me in the eyes. "That's important."

I slowly nodded and looked at the list. "I'm sure you'll find someone."

She tilted her head. "Aren't you going to help me?"

I shrugged and got up. "I don't know," I looked at her. "It makes me uncomfortable."

"What does?"

I shrugged. "The donors," I looked away. "You can choose, I trust you."

She didn't say anything then, I did hear her go through papers. "Will we go through the next steps at least?"

I looked at her and saw she had several other papers ready to show me. I looked at it. "What's that?"

"These are the next steps," She looked at me. "Once we find the right donor, we go to the hospital to get me inseminated."

I slowly nodded.

T looked at me, she frowned. "What's wrong, baby?" She sighed. "I can't help but feel like you don't want this."

I looked down briefly. "It's not that," I looked at her. "It's just that whole process of getting there..." I shrugged. "It makes me uncomfortable."

"But why?"

I shrugged. "I can't explain."

She looked at me.

I looked away. "I don't know," I gulped. "I wish I could get you pregnant," I then looked at her and saw her showing me a warm smile. "I hate the thought that someone else will get you pregnant."

She got up and walked to me. She wrapped her arms around my waist. "Even though you're not physically able to impregnate me, I know that that child will be ours. In my mind, you're the other parent."

I looked down.

She leaned closer to me. "Find me the donor," She whispered in my ear. "That way, you're the one getting me pregnant."

I leaned back so I could look at her in the eyes. "Thank you," I said, gaining a smile from her. "But no," I then walked out of her embrace. "I don't feel comfortable." I then walked away, to our bedroom.

Talia's POV

The school day had ended, finally! I wasn't in the mood to work anymore. I had been thinking a lot lately, about Leah. She had distanced herself from the pregnancy and everything that came with it. I don't understand her. I thought we agreed together to do this together.

I was packing my stuff. I noticed not everything fitted in my bag so I had to take a few things out again.

"Hey," Heather said as she entered my classroom. She seemed to notice I wasn't that happy. "Rough day?"

I sighed deeply.

"I take that's a yes," She then looked at the stuff on my desk. One item, in particular, took her attention. She picked it up and looked at it before looking at me. "Who?"

I looked at her and noticed she had taken the pregnancy test. "Me." I simply replied.

She looked away a bit, seemingly thinking about what she should say. Heather had a hard time with what she could say. She often said anything that's on her mind but sometimes, like now, she tried to hold back.

I took the pregnancy test from her and put it away in my bag.

She looked back at me. "Does Leah know?"

"Of course," I put my bag aside to give her my full attention. "We discussed this, she said she's on board with it."

Heather raised her eyebrows. "That doesn't sound like she's really committed."

I frowned a bit. "What are you getting at, Heather?"

She sighed. "I'm really happy for you two, you two deserve to have a child and be happy," She paused. "But I don't know if this is the right way for you two."

I crossed my arms. "What are you talking about?"

"Last time..." She sighed, she seemed to think hard about her words. "You change," She suddenly said. "You're different when you're pregnant."

I raised my eyebrows. "Of course, I'm happy and excited about being pregnant."

"No," She quickly shut me down. "That's not it," She sighed. "You're not yourself when you're pregnant. I mean," She gulped. "You kept things from Leah, you lied to us, you're more ignorant and angry, you - "

"That was last time."

"I know," She said. "And I hope this time, things change. I hope you will communicate loud and clear with Leah. I hope you won't keep anything from her or us. I hope you will be yourself."

I frowned again.

"When the pregnancy ended last time, you were a wreck," She said, making me look away. "And I get that, it was a very hard thing that happened to you," She paused. "But when you lost that child, we almost lost you."

I looked at her.

"I wish you and Leah the very best, you know that, but I want you to understand every aspect of this pregnancy."

I frowned more. "You don't want us to have children."

Her eyebrows raised. "What? No! That's not what I said!"

"But that's what you meant," I took my bag. "What a friend you turned out to be." I then pushed past her and left.
