Leah's POV
Since the day I met Jin, I wondered how it would be to bring him home. I knew I would give him the safety he desired. I knew he'd be better off at our home than at that center.
Ever since that day the woman saw Jin talk to me, I'd return almost daily. The woman even encouraged it as she had a good feeling about Jin talking and connecting with someone. I went every day until the day finally we came and we could take him home.
"Do we have everything?" I asked T as I saw her look around the tiny room.
She nodded before looking at me. She smiled. "He seems to feel so comfortable around you."
I smiled before looking at Jin, who I was carrying in my arms. It was true, Jin had connected with me in a way he had never connected with others before. Even T wasn't allowed yet to hold him.
"We've got everything," T said, taking the bag with Jin's stuff. "Let's go."
I smiled and looked at Jin. He was already looking at me. "We're going home."
He tilted his head to the side, he was thinking about what I had just said. "Home?"
I nodded. "Your new home," We started walking outside the center. "A place you'll feel better at."
He nodded.
I put him in the car. I made sure he was secured well before going to the passenger seat up front. I let out a breath, I was anxious to get home. I wanted it all to go well. I wanted him to feel well at home. But I also wanted Emil and Jin to click well. That was what I worried about the most.
T grabbed my hand and held it in hers. She showed me a small smile.
I smiled back before we made our way to our home.

"So," I said as I carried Jin inside the house. "Here it is."
Jin looked around before fairly quickly setting his eyes back on me.
I could just tell he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do or say. "Do you want me to show you around?"
He tilted his head before nodding slowly.
I looked at T, and she immediately understand. She walked off, probably putting Jin's stuff in his room. I then looked back at Jin. I smiled. "Ok."

Talia's POV
I knocked on the door of Emil's bedroom before entering. "Hey," I smiled as I saw him play with Heather. "How is my nounours?"
Emil smiled and ran to me. He hugged me.
Heather got up. "He was great," She smiled at us. "So, did you guys bring him too?"
I looked at her and nodded. "He's downstairs," I looked at Emil and could tell he was wondering what we were talking about. I picked him up and looked at him. "There's someone I'd love for you to meet."
His eyes got bigger, I could tell he was excited. Emil loved people. He probably couldn't wait to find out who was here.
"Your mama and I met a boy," I started. "This boy was looking for a good home."
Emil pointed at himself.
"Yes," I smiled. "Just like you did," I nodded. "We brought him home but he is very shy."
Emil nodded, clearly eager to meet the boy.
"His name is Jin," I said. "He's part of our family now."
Emil smiled. "Fwamily."
I smiled. "Yes, our family," I looked at Heather. "Thanks for watching him."
"No problem," She smiled at Emil before patting his head. "He's my godchild anyway."
I nodded before looking at Emil. I nodded and took him downstairs. "Baby," I said. "We're here."

Leah's POV
"So," I said as I looked back at Jin. "What do you think?"
Jin looked around again before looking at me. He nodded.
I smiled. "I'm glad you like it."
"Baby," I heard T say. "We're here."
I looked at Jin and saw him look in the direction of T. "There's someone I'd like you to meet, Jin," I said, gaining his attention. "Remember Emil?"
He nodded.
"He is my son," I said, gaining a nod from him again. "But he would love to meet you."
Jin nodded slowly but I could tell he wasn't too sure. I couldn't imagine the fear he might experience.
"Emil is great," I said. "Don't worry."
I walked us to T's location. When I saw her, we smiled at each other. "Here you go, nounours," T said as she put Emil on the ground. "This is Jin."
I also put Jin on the ground. "This is Emil." I said to him.
We watched them look at each other. I don't know what I expected. I figured Emil would try anything to make Jin feel comfortable, as that was his nature, but Jin would probably be quiet, as that was his nature.
Emil smiled at Jin. "Hi."
Jin looked at Emil. He seemed so insecure. He looked at me, I wondered if this was his way of asking for help.
I knelt next to him. "This is Emil," I repeated, though softer. "He would like to have a friend," I said and looked at Emil, I smiled at him which caused him to smile back. I then looked back at Jin. "Maybe you would like to be his friend?"
Jin looked at me for a while before looking back at Emil. He just looked, he didn't say anything.
T tapped my shoulder. When I looked up, she motioned me to follow her.
We walked a bit further away. "Yes?"
T sighed. "If he isn't going to talk to anyone but you, how is this going to work?"
I feared this question. I worried about Jin's interaction with Emil and T. So far, he hasn't interacted at all. "I don't know," I gulped. "But we need to give him some time too."
T sighed and looked down. "How much though?" She looked back up at me. "Emil can't get hurt because of it."
"I'm not saying that," I looked away briefly. "I'm just saying he needs time."
T sighed.
"What's going on?" Heather asked, interrupting our private conversation.
I looked at her. "T is impatient."
T looked at me. "I'm sorry for thinking about the well-being of my son."
"Jin is our son too now," I stated. "Maybe you shouldn't forget that."
Heather frowned. "I'm sorry but what's the problem?"
We both looked at Heather. "Jin isn't reacting at all." T stated.
Before I could react and defend Jin, Heather shook her head. "Whilst you two were arguing, your boys came together and play."
We both raised our eyebrows. We walked back to the living room and saw Emil and Jin playing in Emil's corner with his toy cars.
I smiled as I saw how Emil invited Jin over to really be a part of the playing. Jin was still shy but it seemed Emil somehow made him feel safe.
T wrapped her arms around me. "They're perfect," She kissed my cheek. "Our boys."
I let out a breath. "Yes," I smiled. "They are."
