Leah's POV

I sighed.

I hated working late, I hated to spend my days studying and working. Why did I have to waste the best years of my life on this? Sure, to get a job, but it feels like such a waste.

I looked up from my books, looking at nothing in particular. I wanted a distraction, I needed a distraction.

My eyes landed on the clock: 9.30 pm. Where is she?

I sighed, going back to my books. Going on and on, reading page after page, marking word after word. Yes, life was great...

Then I heard the door. I looked up.

And in she came. Wobbling, words slurring, clothes hanging from her body... Drunk.

I once again sighed. "Great night out?" Without waiting for her to reply, I looked back to my books.

I heard her saunter through the house, some things moved and some fell. But this house was used to it by now.

Then the table, I was currently sitting on, was shaken. I looked up, seeing my very drunk wife. I sighed. "Baby, you once again let her do this to you."

"Wasssss fffunn..."

I looked away, trying to get some nice air since she smelled of alcohol. I got up, realizing I once again have to stop my work for her. "Come," I wrapped my arms around her and started leading her to our room. "We'll get you ready for bed."

20 minutes later, and many attempts at getting her exactly where I wanted her to be, she was in bed and tucked in.

I slowly caressed her cheek as I watched her close her eyes and drift off to sleep. "Sweet dreams, baby."

I then got up and went back downstairs. I took one of my books and took it upstairs. I entered our bedroom again and got in bed, next to T.

While she was sleeping, I was studying. It's weird how this is our life now. Me studying and she partying. It feels like I'm the adult and she's the teenager.

I looked at her. She looked so bad, like her face looked ten times older. And what for? A bit of fun, she'd say.

I looked back at my book, trying to focus on that.

"Baby," T reached for me but didn't open her eyes, so it failed miserably. "Come here."

I pulled back a little, sitting out of her reach. I looked at her. "No, I need to study enough, baby," I then looked at the book again. "Besides, you smell horrible."

"But I took a shower."

I huffed. "I made you take a shower," I then looked at her. "And you even tried getting out of it."

"Why are you screaming?"

I rolled my eyes and just focused on my book again. Though that didn't stop her, in a swift motion she pulled that book away from me and threw it away somewhere in the room. "T!" I wanted to get up to take it, but she held me.

"Leave it," She pulled me closer but eventually noticed she didn't have the strength to do it, so she rolled her body weight on me to keep me in bed. "Stay here, with me."

I groaned. "I need to continue."

"Rest." T simply stated before snuggling into me and drifting off.

"T, get off," I pushed her but surprisingly enough, she was pretty tough to get off of me. "T!" I groaned and kept trying until I realized I once again wouldn't be able to continue because of her.

The next morning I was up early, hitting the books again. Though before I'd start working for school, I made sure I had a good breakfast.

And so, while I was making it, T arrived as well. She seemed fine, though she could use a day of rest. Thankfully she had that today. "Good morning, baby." She kissed the side of my head before taking a seat at the table.

I finished preparing breakfast and then served both me and her. "Morning." I sat down, eating breakfast.

T also ate, leaving us in silence. She was just eating, looking at nothing in particular, while I was looking away from her. I wasn't pleased, and she knew.

After breakfast, she cleared the table. She also cleaned the stove and other things I made dirty during the preparation for breakfast.

I got up and went back to work. Working, in times like this, always gave me a great distraction. At least then I wouldn't have to think about why T's acting like this, about why she wants to risk everything, about why she refuses to see this...

When T was done, she seemed kind of lost. She looked around before coming to me, she took a seat next to me. "How is studying going?"

"Good." I simply stated before returning back to my book.

T nodded and looked away briefly before looking at my book. She scooted closer. "What are you reading?"

I sighed and then got up.

She got up as well. "What did I do wrong this time?"

I turned around. "You really have to ask that?"

She just looked at me.

I sighed before looking down and shaking my head. I can't do this again. "I have to study." I took my books, put them in my bag, and walked towards the front door.

"Hey," T stopped me. "Where are you going?"

"To my mom, at least I can study there."

T shook her head. "What do you want me to do? If I'm gone, you're not happy. If I'm here, you're not happy. If I leave you alone, I bother you. If I show interest in your work, I bother you. Nothing I do is good, Leah!"

I looked away.

"Tell me what you want and I'll do it."

I looked at her, more determined than ever. "Get rid of Heather!" I then pushed past her and left the house, going straight to my mom's house.

Hello everyone

Welcome back to my story. This is a continuation from "You're mine", these events were set two years after that story. I skipped that time because, during the other two years, nothing really was worth mentioning.

I hope you'll enjoy :)
