Leah's POV

I smashed the door close on my way out of my room. I rushed off the stairs as I heard T follow me.

"Leah!"

I got downstairs and went straight to the front door. I took my jacket, I took my keys and then stopped. In the living room, I saw my two sons look at me with great sadness in their eyes. It was clear they were worried, upset about what they were hearing. Even though I wanted to get out of the house as fast as possible, I couldn't bring myself to actually leave, because of my boys.

"Mama?" Jin said softly, he got up and stumbled towards me.

I gulped before I heard T approach me. I took the door handle, I was ready to flee, ready to go.

"Mama?" Jin repeated, though this time he sounded desperate. His pace increased, he was slowly running towards me. He really didn't want me to leave.

"Leah!"

I looked at the stairs, T had descended them and was standing there, looking at me. I turned the door handle, and opened the door.

"Mama?!" Jin yelled out.

That hit my soul. I looked at Jin, tears were now streaming down his face. He was running faster but he stumbled and fell to the ground. He started crying more.

Emil ran to Jin, wanting to help him.

I sighed and closed the door. I rushed to Jin. "Hey, Jinnie." I picked him up and immediately he hugged me tightly.

"No go," He cried into my arms. His tiny arms squeezed me, trying to keep me close. "No go." He repeated.

Suddenly I felt another pair of tiny arms wrap around me. Emil too squeezed me. "No go." He now too said.

I wrapped my arms around my boys. I held them close to me, both crying into my arms. As I led them embrace me, I looked up and saw T. She had made her way to the living room, to us. She was watching this scene, she seemed to observe it all. And I hoped, she would understand the pain she was causing...

"They're asleep," Charlotte said as she returned to the living room. She sat down next to me and smiled at me. "They went to bed easily when I sang that song of yours."

I chuckled a bit. "They want their routine."

She nodded before her smile disappeared. "So," She said, her hand on my knee. "It's not better with Talia?"

I shook my head before taking my glass of soda. I took a sip before putting it back down. "She just doesn't get it."

Charlotte nodded.

"We've been through so much trying to get a child," I shook my head. "We finally have a good family, 2 amazing boys," I looked down. "And she's still obsessing over a pregnancy."

"But she can't - "

"Nope," I shook my head and looked away. "She can't," I sighed deeply. "But guess who should do it, according to her?"

Charlotte frowned a bit, thinking, before her eyes widened. She looked at me. "She doesn't mean..."

"Yep," I breathed out. "She thinks I should get pregnant for us."

She covered her mouth. "That's horrible," She once again placed her hand on my knee, squeezing it slightly. "She can't make that decision for you."

"I know," I sighed deeply. "I wish she could just be happy with what we have," I looked at Charlotte. "Why can't she see that we already have an amazing thing going? I mean, is she really that unhappy that she wants more?"

"I don't think it's that simple, Leah," She took her glass of wine. "Talia wanted children the natural way since she was little, it's hard to lose that." She took a sip of her wine before putting the glass back down.

I sighed deeply. "Even so, she can't do it. She should just give up."

"Give up? You expect Talia, that stubborn wife of yours, to just give up?" She chuckled, making me chuckle too. "That's not going to happen."

I slowly nodded. "Then what do I do? She can't expect me to get pregnant just because she wants it. Besides, she's just saying this because Eva is pregnant."

"Probably," She nodded in agreement. "I think she just needs time to adjust."

I sighed. "I really don't want to see her tonight."

She smiled a bit more. "I've got a spare bedroom."

I looked at her and had to smile at her smile. "I think your maths skills are broken, C, you had a spare bedroom until my sons occupied it."

"Oh, right," She nodded before chuckling. "Well, I have a couch." She presented it with her hands.

I looked at it. "Wonderful!" I joked.

She chuckled more. "It's all I can offer," She then looked up. "That and a spot next to me in bed," She then looked at me. "But maybe that's weird?" She said but more with a questioning tone.

I thought about it for a bit, was that weird? Would it be ok for me to join her in her bed? Would I accept T doing that? I remember a few years ago, I freaked out when she would be out late with her friends...

"The couch is also available," She suddenly said, she probably assumed I wasn't quite sure whether it would be a good idea to share a bed. "Just so you know."

I looked at her and smiled. "Nah," I got up. "Your bed is softer." I said and made my way to her bedroom.

"Yes, it is," She said and followed me. "Wait till you tried it, you won't want anything else after that."

I chuckled.

"And?" Charlotte asked as she entered her bedroom again, this time dressed for bed.

I wrapped the sheets around my body. "Perfect," I sighed happily. "Such a good bed."

"Told you," She opened the door again, and in came Charlie. "Take it easy, girl."

The dog immediately jumped on the bed, and she went to me and sniffed me. Then she started to lick me plentifully. "You're excited."

Charlotte got in bed, next to me. "Well, there's a friend on her spot, she's just checking it out." She whistled and finally Charlie let go and settled on the edge of the bed.

I rubbed the dog's drool off my face before looking at Charlotte. "Is this normally her spot?"

She nodded. "Always next to me," She looked at Charlie and smiled. "Protecting me, aren't you, Charlie?"

Charlie's tail was going crazy.

"Lay here, sweetie," She patted the pot next to the bed. When Charlie went to lie down, Charlotte smiled. "Good girl," She then turned back to face me. She smiled before we both lay down. "Well, enjoy a great night's sleep in my amazing bed." She joked.

I chuckled. "Thanks, C," I looked at her, smiling. "For everything."

She smiled. "You're welcome."
