Leah's POV

The next morning, I stretched when I heard my alarm clock go off. I always woke up at 8.30 am during the weekends. I like routines, hence the alarm clock.

I sat up a bit to turn off the alarm. I then looked to my right, to T. She was hiding her face in her pillow, as if trying to stay asleep even though she was clearly awake. "Baby, wake up."

She let out a groan, indicating she didn't plan to wake up soon. T wasn't a morning person, even though we got up early every weekday for school. She believed that she could sleep in longer during the weekend, to make up for the week.

"Well, you can stay, I'm going to get up," Just as I was about to get out of bed, two arms pulled me back in. "T," I tried getting out of her grasp. "What is this?"

She finally looked at me. "Why do you want to get up?"

I looked at her. "It's time, the alarm clock sounded."

She chuckled. "I get that," She pulled me closer to her. "But why don't we stay here a bit longer?" She pulled me to her, pressing our bodies together. "It's so much more fun."

I chuckled. "You're unbelievable."

"You love that," She leaned in, kissing me gently. I had expected her to keep going, but she pulled back pretty fast. "I'd like to thank you," She smiled. "For last night," She let out a content sigh. "It was a great surprise."

I smiled at her. "It's my pleasure, baby, you deserved it."

Her smile disappeared a bit. "After everything that has happened to us..." She sighed. "I really needed that," She looked at me. "So thank you."

"You're welcome, baby."

"But," She started. "Besides the surprise birthday party, do you know what surprised me the most?"

I had an idea... "No, what?"

"Heather and you," She said, making me nod. "I had buried the hope of you two getting along a long time ago," She said, making me chuckle a bit. "What happened? What changed?"

"It's a long story, T."

"Well," She held me tighter. "We've got time."

I chuckled a bit. "Not really," I said, getting a confused look from her. "I have to get up in 30 minutes, you know why..."

Without having to explain it further, she nodded as she understood what I meant. "Well, can't we come back after that?"

"Maybe," I let out a breath. "It'll depend..."

She nodded slowly. "So give me a short summary then."

I looked at her. "Well, I needed help for a good birthday gift, so I called Heather," I said, to which T nodded slowly. She seemed shocked I'd go to Heather for that though. "We went to a store together, she helped me get the gift I got you. Then we got something to drink and... Well, we talked about our rocky relationship."

T seemed so interested in this story. She didn't ask me anything, she was so into it. I guess she wasn't lying when she said she couldn't believe it.

"We joked a bit, I asked her to help me organize your birthday party. While we were organizing your party, we got friendlier," I shrugged. "I guess that's it."

"Wow...", was all she said.

"But just to let you know, she and I won't be the best of friends now," I said to which she nodded again. "We're just trying to get along and to act normal towards each other."

She showed me a small smile. "It really means a lot to me that you two are trying this, it's all I ever wanted."

"I know."

She leaned in closer, kissing me again. "I love you."

I smiled at her. "I love you too."

"How much time do we have left?" She suddenly asked.

"Uhm..." I turned around to look at the alarm clock. I then looked back at her. "About 25 minutes," I then raised one eyebrow. "Why?"

"Well, until it's time for that, we've got some time here..." She showed me a look, one that I understood immediately.

I shook my head a bit. "We only have 25 minutes, baby."

"That's all the time I need." She said before getting on top of me.

Talia's POV

"Are you sure you'll be ok?"

"Yes, baby," Leah said as she was taking some board games and putting them into a bag. "I can manage an afternoon with my friends."

I knew she'd enjoy her time with her friends but somehow I felt guilty about this. "I just feel like I'm throwing you out of our house."

She walked to me. "You worry too much," She caressed my face. "You'll have a fun afternoon with your friends, while I'll have a fun afternoon with mine," She kissed my lips gently. "Ok?"

I nodded.

Then the doorbell rang. "There you go," She walked to the front door. She opened the door and let my friends in. "Here's your fun."

I chuckled at her before looking at my friends. "Hey, get in."

They all greeted me and then Leah.

"Bye baby." Leah said before leaving the house.

I sighed happily before walking with my friends to the living room. I had them sit down before taking some drinks from the kitchen. I then went back to the living room. "I've got a bit of everything." I said as I put the tray with drinks down.

"It looks good, Talia," Charlotte smiled. "So, you and Leah are good now?"

"Yeah," I smiled. "We went through a lot but," I paused. "We're good now."

"We can see that." Mary chuckled a bit. Charlotte soon followed.

I frowned a bit. "What's so funny?"

Heather was the only one who wasn't chuckling. She looked from Charlotte and Mary to me. "Well, we can see you and Leah had a bonding session recently." She stated.

I frowned more. "A bonding session?"

Heather groaned. "Sex, Talia!" She sighed. "I tried to put it as politely as possible but you make it so hard."

"Sex?"

"Yes, Talia," Heather nodded, clearly mocking me. "You know, the playful yet competitive act of making the other reach the sexual high first."

Mary, Charlotte, and I looked at Heather with a questioned face.

"What?" She asked.

"You have such a weird view on sex." Charlotte said to which Mary and I nodded in agreement.

Heather crossed her arms. "That's the most fun way of experiencing sex obviously."

Charlotte and Mary started laughing at that.

"I know more fun ways." I stated, making them laugh more.

Heather shook her head while trying to fight a smile.
