"I brought the six pack." Castiel held up the beer as he waltzed into Dean's house like he did every Thursday for their movie marathon. The tradition had started a couple months ago when they both realized they had the same movie taste. Ever since college, the two had been best friends and spent most nights together.

"Awesome." Dean smirked as they made their way into the living room.

Castiel set the beer on the end table and collapsed back into the couch. Propping his feet up, he let his day melt as he watched his friend pick out a bottle. Dean took a seat in the chair to Cas' left as they stared at the blank television.

"Pizza should be here in about twenty minutes. What movies we gonna watch?"

Cas shrugged and sat up in the couch. "I don't care."

"How about the Back to the Futures? I have them all in blue ray." Dean was proud of himself as he stood and set the beer on the end table. "I'll go downstairs and get them."

Castiel nodded with a smile as he watched Dean turn and disappear out the doorway. This night was all Cas looked forward to every week. Even though he knew Dean was straight, his friendship was the only thing Cas had to hold onto. Most of the people he meets weren't compatible. But this weird bond formed between the two men when they became dorm buddies all those years ago. Now Thursday was Cas' favorite day.

A little itch came from his abdomen and he stood to start for the bathroom. Then he remembered Dean saying something about the first floor bathroom being on the fritz. Castiel simply took up the stairs and started down the hallway toward Dean's bedroom bathroom. When he entered the master bedroom, Cas grinned at the sight of old classic rock posters hanging from the wall. Even though Dean outgrew the poster stage, he obviously didn't care to take them down.

The bathroom was small but quaint. Castiel wasted no time as he walked to the toilet and started to unzip his jeans. When he was done, he moved over softly toward the sink. But he noticed that there wasn't any soap left in the liquid container.

"Really, Dean?" Castiel shook his head as he bent down and opened the bathroom cabinets under the sink. He spotted a refill and reached to grab it. Then his eyes caught sight of a flash of color and he was derailed from the soap.

Magazine. Intrigued, Cas reached out with a grin at the humor of finding out what Dean was into. The magazine slipped into his hand as he held it in front of him and let his eyes graze over the cover. Men. That was all Cas could see as his breath hitched and his mind started to pound. The image of a strong muscular man bending a smaller white collar man over a table was plastered in Cas' hand.

"What the fuck." Cas whispered as his eyes widened. Dean wasn't gay, he had been with many girls over the time Cas had known him. Never had he ever seen Dean with a guy.

"CAS?" Dean's voice yelled up the stairs.

Castiel jumped almost out of his clothes as he shoved the magazine back into the cabinet and grabbed the soap in a frenzied fumble that left him breathless. Robotically he stood up, feeling his knees stiff and his heart pounding. All he could think about was the fact that Dean had a gay porn magazine in his bathroom. This didn't make sense, Cas told himself as he washed his hands.

"Cas?" The voice was closer now, and Cas realized it was right outside the bathroom door.

"Yeah-" His voice cracked and he cleared it. He couldn't let Dean know that he found that magazine. Terror seized him up as he held his hands under the scolding faucet. "I'm fine. Just had to use the restroom."

"Alright, well I also grabbed the Dark Knight. Gotta love Christian Bale, right?"

Castiel flushed as he turned off the water and felt a lump in his stomach. All he could think about was Dean masturbating to Batman. He let out a choked chuckle as he tried his hardest to get this out of his mind. Obviously Dean didn't want him to know about this gay thing. Castiel even told himself that maybe Dean had it just for experimenting. The color was a little faded at the corners but maybe it had gotten water stained or something.

"Cas?"

"I'll be out in a minute!" Castiel almost screamed as he patted his hands in the towel and desperately searched for the strength to get through this night.

Castiel opened the door only to be met with green eyes. He sucked in a deep breath and felt his cheeks redden painfully. Dean just stared at him for a moment before his eyes flicked down at the cabinets under the sink. All too suddenly Castiel realized that he hadn't closed the cabinet doors. For the first time in his life, Castiel felt his whole world go numb.

"Uh-you ran out of soap."

Dean nodded and looked back up into Cas' eyes with a straight face that showed no emotion. "Cas-"

"I think I should go." Castiel pushed past Dean and started down the stairs. If he stayed, he didn't think he would be able to get over the magazine that still burned in his mind. It hurt him to think that Dean liked guys and never told him. It also hurt him because for years he had a crush on his friend but he never thought he had a chance. And if Dean did like guys, why did he never try anything with Cas?

"Wait." Dean pleaded as he chased closely after Cas. "I can explain."

"I don't need one. I just forgot that I have work-" A firm arm grasped Cas' shoulder and spun him around.

His mind went completely blank as warm lips smashed against his. Castiel's mind raced as Dean's warm breath filled his lungs and Dean's warm fingers kneaded into his arms. After a moment Dean pulled back and peered into Cas' eyes in a daze. The two friends just stared at each other for a moment as the warmness in Cas' chest started to dissipate.

"Why?" Was all Cas could say as he calmed his breathing and searched his friend's eyes carefully. "After all these years-"

"I really like you, Cas." Dean gripped his shoulders a little tighter as if to prove it. "I just... I couldn't come out. But I always liked you. That is why I wanted to be your friend so badly. Because I knew that I couldn't have you, but I didn't want to lose you. I never meant for you to find out like that."

"When were you going to tell me?" Cas started to feel his voice raise but angered bubbled up in him. "On the day of your wedding? On the day of my wedding? You think I couldn't be trusted with your sexuality? Instead you friendzone me and make me think I never had a chance with you? You are such an asshole, Dean."

Dean's face fell. "I am sorry-"

"Don't." Cas shrugged off his friend's arm and sighed deeply. "I can't believe that you just kiss me like it will all be okay. Do you understand the pain I felt when I had to be around you all the time but I thought I could never have you? DO YOU EVEN CARE?!"

Dean was silent as he let his eyes drop to the floor. "I don't know what to say to make this better."

The heartbreak in those words settled his temper a little as he stared at his broken friend. Castiel realized the pain that Dean had gone through while being in the closest. It was difficult and he couldn't blame Dean for being afraid. No matter how angry he wanted to be, he couldn't.

"Next Thursday, I want a date." Cas said simply as he reached his finger up and traced it along Dean's jawline. His friend's head lifted and their eyes met. "Dinner that you pay for and a whole night perfectly planned out with as much romantic things you can do."

"Okay." Dean grinned from ear to ear as those eyes softened with delight. "It's a date."

"Good. Now, I want to get trashed and watch some Doc Brown." Castiel grinned and pulled Dean toward the couch.

They fell on it together as Dean pushed the play button to allow the opening to roll on. As the movie continued Dean pulled Cas against his chest and the two men melted into a cuddle that made Castiel forget all the years of living in Dean's shadow and never being able to hold the most important person in the world to him. As the night continued and the two only fit into each other more, Castiel realized that Thursday was most important day in the entire world.
