As we arrived home Malcolm got out first and came to my side and said "Jones, I'm not letting you walk into the house like that not when they could be things that could hurt you"

I nodded and let Malcolm pick me up and carried me inside before he put me down and he closed the doors as he placed my bag closed on the step

This made Sam come waking into the hallway and smiled

"Afternoon Sam" Malcolm said "Here's Jones she's okay just a tad quiet"

I walked into the living room and Sam said "she's been quiet since she came home from school on Friday"

"Also she has no shoes and no water bottle in her lunchbox" Malcolm said "She won't tell me why she just keeps shrugging when I ask her"

"Hm, odd, so why she was kept at school?" Sam asked

"Apparently she had a Dention don't know why and don't know what it's about" Malcolm said "he didn't tell you or Penny so I told him about safeguarding and how it's important to tell the parents where there children are at all times and if the children or child had a Dention after school the parents must be told which you weren't"

"Hm" Sam's lips thinned

"The sub is giving me weird feelings, he was fired from Chicago and I don't think Jones is to fond off him" Malcolm announced

"I'll keep an eye on her thanks Malcolm" Sam said as Malcolm left them be and penny walked downstairs

"Hey Penny, Jones is back but with no shoes or water bottle apparently" Sam said

"So, no shoes or water bottle" Penny said "I'll check her feet to make sure there okay"

Penny went to get the bag which had been lended her by Arnold's doctor

Dad went to make my fave and mum walked in and felt my feet to make sure neither of them was injured

I let her and I drifted out into my own world so I was shocked to be shaken and I saw it was my mum shaking me

"Heya mum" I said

"Jones I asked you a question where are your shoes?" penny said

I shrugged and I chose not to wish to disclose this anymore as I headed upstairs without eating dinner and fell asleep

Luckily dad hadn't cooked it yet

"Somethings bothering her, anytime you ask her about it, she shrugs" Penny said

"Maybe it's time we start to infere" Sam said

"Wait, let's give Jones a rest Sam, we'll get more out of her if she's rested" Penny said

"True, was going to make her fave for dinner to" Sam said sadly

Penny squeezed his shoulder and they both ate some soup before they headed off to bed

Meanwhile at the police station Malcolm was writing a letter he would officially send through the post to Mrs Sandy, who was Newtown's Primary school deputy head

He hoped it would help Jones and he wondered how she was doing and he had called everyone to tell them that Jones was okay and everyone breathed a sigh of relief but just like Sam he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong
