It was the next day and Ellie was calling Helen

Bold - Helen
Normal - Ellie

"Hello?"
"Sorry to wake you Helen, we've got an emergency at the station"
"On my way, who?"
"It's Sam"
"Sam admitted he's in pain?"
"Not exactly but I wish he did to be honest with you Helen, I caught him slurring his words earlier and he looks like he has a constant headache"
"Hm sounds like he really needs to go up really Ellie"
"Slight issue, Helen, Jones, James and Sarah need to be taken into account as well"
"Ok, I can come take Sam up, call penny or text her or get Jones's grandad"
"Could call Steele to look after Jones but I'm weary of splitting her up from her cousins"
"Understandable on my way"

The call ended and Ellie saw all three kids looking up at her alongside Penny as well

"Mornin" Ellie said "Helen's on her way for him"

Sam was staring off into space as he didn't pay attention to the conversation at all

"Why is daddy going hospital?" I ask a worried look which I hid quickly into a firm face expression appeared on my face

"Your turning into Sam if you change your face expressions that quickly Jones" Ellie yawned "But your dads slurring his words"

"So, concussion?" I ask

"That we don't know Jones" Ellie said

"Jones, he'll be okay" James said

"Hm" I bit my lip and walked over to my dad aware he might not see me or talk to me probably but I held his hand and he tightened his grip which meant he didn't want me to leave him, but sadly I would have to soon

Ellie said that she could have Sarah and that Penny should go to the hospital with Sam

James said he be fine spending time with Mandy so off he went and Helen arrived and saw my dads vice like grip on my arm

Ellie lifted Sarah up and they left to give them all some space

I stood my ground and made my face look serious but firm also

"Hello Sam" Penny said with an eyebrow raised

"Hello mother" I say firmly and Helen tried to get the hand separated but Sam tightened the grip and I said "Oh well"

I raise my own eyebrow

Helen looked at me and said "your so much like Sam that's for sure"

"I know I'm his daughter" I say

"Jones you need to let go" Mum said

I waved my hands to show I wasn't holding on anymore, I added a smirk also

"It's Sam, it's like he can sense something" Helen said

"Like what?" I asked

I knew what he could sense, he could sense my worry, the worry I thought I had hid very well but unfortunately I hadn't but Helen managed to get the hands free and I bit my lip and was shooed out by both

I scoff and do so and as I walk out I bump into Steele, my grandad and he can see I'm upset about something so I'm lead into his office and he pulls out his stash and offered me some chocolate or some sweets

I refused and said "Dads hurt"

"Jones, your dads strong" Steele assured me

"But Ellie said he's slurring his words" I pout and Steele pulled me into a hug

Meanwhile Sam was trying to tell them using his hands that someone needed to calm Jones and Helen and Penny were having a quietened discussion on how to work things out

Helen hummed and said "Maybe one of us should stay here but you should go with Sam"

"Your the nurse" Penny mumbled

"Sorry to intrude but maybe you both should go and James is apparently at Mandy's, Sarah is with Ellie and I have Jones asleep in my office at the moment" Steele said

"That's sorted, make sure she stays alright" Helen said and Penny followed Helen but as Sam was taken out Steele didn't miss his hang singles which were saying help Jones but he was getting mad Penny and Helen didn't see it

But Steele did it and he went to where his granddaughter was asleep and he picked her up and she snuggled into him
