Apologies and Calming

It was now bedtime and Sarah was looking down in her bedroom that was located at the Jones's residence

Unlike her cousin she didn't mind shoes in the bedroom but still left the downstairs next to the stairs to respect her cousins boundaries as she respected hers, James did the same

James however was asleep at half 8 and the adults were downstairs having an adult discussion about something the kids ages 11 & 13 weren't allowed to be involed in

Sarah heard a knock at the door and opened it to her 11 year old cousin who her dad sent her to bed over an hour ago, by the look on her face she had not listened to it due to worrying about her and here she was going to set it right

Just so much like Sam

"Coke in Jones" Sarah said

I walked in and she closed the door and she saw me leave my comforter outside the bedroom, even if it was my cousins bedroom it felt off

I put it away and came back and kept my cousin entertained and company

Sarah started to laugh when I started to do an impression of my dad, we must've been loud as the adults walked into Sarah's room without our knowledge

"Shouldn't you two be asleep?" Sam asked

"We can't sleep" I said truthfully

"You can't sleep?" Ellie asked "you know what time it is?"

"Shushhhhh" I said "Fine I'll tell you the truth"

Sarah looked at me and knew I could end up in serious trouble for this but I carried on

"You sent me bed, I actually couldn't fall asleep as I for one was too worried for Sarah, she looked won when I came in here" I breathed before I contiued "She is missing her parents so I decided to come in here and keep her company and entertain as well as happy"

I smiled softly

"Was gonna say getting on to 1am" Ellie started

"But I can see someone is doing an important job but Jones you also need to sleep not just Sarah you know" Sam said

"Taking care of Sarah is main prioty" I smile

"True, go sleep gals, see you in the morning" Sam said

We nodded and they headed to bed and I tucked Sarah in and i clambered in afterwards

But Sam slipped into the room over an hour later and saw us both fast asleep and this helped him fall asleep

But 5am in the morning soon rolled around and Sarah woke up panting and accidentally woke me up as she panicked

I tried to calm her down but I couldn't by myself and I breathed a calm sigh before I went to get Ellie and my parents

I heard commotion downstairs and ran downstairs after I had gone loo falling down them in the process which got there attention and I saw my parents, Ellie and James look at me as I stayed laying down on the floor

"Sarah needs help please" I mumble "She's panicking and I can't get her to calm"

"James stay with Jones" Sam ordered and they headed upstairs to try and calm Sarah down

They succeeded after a while and Sarah admitted to missing her parents and that sleeping and being without them knowing they were at the hospital wasn't helping her nerves at all

Penny and Ellie stayed with Sarah when the door was knocked

While upstairs events were happening James had helped drag me to the living room as I couldn't be bothered to stand up and my ankle was hurting but didn't want to take attention away from Sarah

We heard Sam come downstairs and he opened the door so James spied on him and saw two adults on the other side of the door

"Hello?" Sam asked

"Hey sorry to bother you but I'm Vincent Taylor and this is my wife Megan Taylor" Vincent said holding out his hand after he pointed to Megan

"We heard what happened on the news and came to check if you guys were okay and to apologise" Megan said as she held out her hand

Sam shook both hands before he said "Thanks, we're okay, got my niece and nephew over as well so Jones is happy but we're having a little bit of a stressful morning anyway what you sorry for?"

"We found these and believe they belong to your daughter" Vincet said as he passed Sam the shoes and water bottle and Sam checked them and saw KPJ written on both

"Thanks where we're these?" Sam asked "She's been missing these for weeks"

"In our daughters Serena's bedroom we don't know why they were there sadly" Megan said

"Hm did Serena ever tell you about her friends and what happened between them and Jones?" Sam asked

"No she didn't why?" Vincet asked confused

"Well they hurt my daughter" Sam whispered aware someone was watching them and he had a feeling who it was

He thought it was me, he's wrong it's James

"Thanks for letting us know and we'll ask her straight away" Megan said as they left and Sam closed the door and turned around to see James watching him

"James it's you watching me I thought it was Jones" Sam said

"Wrong, I spied on you, your daughter really doesn't want to stand" James said

Before Sam could ask why he heard a shout from upstairs which told him Sarah's panic attack had gotten worse and he headed back upstairs leaving Jones's belongings on the bottom step as he did so

James went back and looked at Jones's ankle and he worried about his cousin and sister and how would he explained to Sam her ankle injury?
