The next day saw Steele walk in with his laptop and he sat down on the spare chair and said "oh hello Jones's you three awake?"
"Yes sir we're awake" Penny said "Dunno about Jones though, think she's still asleep"
"Oh hello Sir" Sam said as he walked in with a cup of tea for Penny and a cup of coffee for himself
"Tea sir?" Penny asked
"Already got mine see" Steele said as he showed Sam and Penny his cup of tea "Should be getting a call from the station soon"
"The boys been up to anything? Like pranks?" Sam asked with a smirk
"Sam" Penny said as she swatted a hand at him
"No Sam, not everyone can do pranks like Jones can" Steele chuckled
"Very funny grandad" I say as I woke up
"Well Penny Jones is awake" Steele said
"Drink Jones?" Penny asked me
"I'd rather not have tea or coffee first thing thanks" I said with a smile and I look up and was passed some water by my dad
And I downed the whole bottle and demanded to go loo so Penny took me and came back and saw me curl up into her, Sam passed me back Arlo my teddy which I coiled my hands around
Steele answered the call from the station and we were greeted with Elvis, Arnold and Boyce
Ellie walked in apologising for being late and saying hello to the boys alongside us all
"How's Chicago?" Elvis asked
"It's great Crindlington, any emergencies that have been called in?" Steele asked
"We've had a few" Elvis said "Wooly stuck up a tree, Norman stuck up a tree"
"Elvis got his arm stuck in a fridge" Arnold quipped in
"Oi says you" Elvis said with a eye roll "You got your foot stuck in a drain"
"Okay both of you before an argument starts" Boyce interjected
"Should I even ask sir?" Sam asked
"No Sam you shouldn't" Boyce said with a laugh "How's you Norris?"
"I'm alright Horacio, how are you?" Steele asked
"I'm alright, helping these two with some emergencies we've been having" Boyce said "We've just returned from a fire at the park, one of the kids thought it was a good idea to make a homemade campfire"
"Norman?" Sam asked
Boyce nodded and Steele said "I'll be right back Sam mind updating the station on what's been going on here?"
"I don't mind" Sam said as he took Steele's laptop and Steele went outside to book the return flight from Chicago O'Hare international airport to Cardiff international Airport
"So how's everything in Chicago then Sam?" Arnold asked
"Everything's been a mixture of emotions and feelings Arnold" Sam said as he kissed his wife's head
"Where are you excatly Sam? As I can see everyone but Steele" Boyce asked
"We're in Chicago Med" Sam answered "We had a slight accident with pasta bake"
"Pasta bake?" Elvis asked
"Spellman sabotaged Penny's lunch so we ended up in Chicago Med" Sam said "Penny ended up with food poisoning but should be out of hospital in a few days time"
