Finding out its the flu

Charlie was enjoying the FaceTime calls of his daughter and niece as well as Sam, Bronwyn and Ellie but was missing the rest of the family and knew James and Penny were yet to make an appearance

He still wasn't allowed out of his room to they found out what this mystery illness was and he figured out accidentally from his doctor that James and Penny alongside Mike and Mandy had caught this mystery illness, and he grew worried and determined to see the family he hadn't seen in nearly a week

The doctors were around Mandy who had got slightly worse in the night but as tests happened they soon found out it was the flu and gave everyone in the hospital a free flu jab and ones who had the flu had iv lines injected into them to help with hydration levels and medicine so it would bypass them all quickly

Charlie was finally allowed to see his family on strict orders to stay warm and he listened to them and once in the room he got in bed and he saw both James and Penny still asleep but no sign of the rest of the family into he heard familiar arguing

He then saw Bronwyn walk in shushing them so they wouldn't wake thouse sleeping and Sam was trying not to laugh as he carried in what seemed to be his coffee and Ellie passed Bronwyn her tea before she sat down with her tea

The girls, me and Sarah had drank our drinks and had both had massive sips out of dads firsts coffee so we're quite hyper and I climbed onto a bed thinking it was mums and I snuggled

Then I felt the material and hugged him tightly

"Sarah it's uncle Charlie" I smile

Sarah came running over and hugged Charlie with me and the adults awake smiled and were glad we could physically hug him

Sarah let go of him but he kept her close after he gave Bronwyn a one sided hug like he did Ellie but he kept the kids close to him

He saw I wasn't letting go yet and knew I was like Sam when it came to family in the hospital and according to Sam she had found out her friend Bella had been admitted to the new flu strain also so wasn't holding well

Charlie held her and sung the sea shanty to both of the kids and accidentally dragged the adults and Sarah off to sleep and he tucked his daughter in and his niece as well as himself

"Jones I know your awake" Charlie said

"Your just like dad and mum can always tell" I replied

Charlie kissed my hair and said "You feeling okay?"

"Yeah upset about a few things like Bella being in hospital" I mumble "James you the whole family"

Charlie calmed me and I rested my head on his arm and hoped he didn't mind it

He didn't and he said "Sleep niece"

"Stay?" I ask

"I promise I will stay Jones" Charlie said as he held me close and I fell asleep
