Teacher Trouble

The day

We had breakfast with Casey and the whole of squad 3. They invited us to a squad table and I vaguely remember seeing one beforehand.

Mum decided with dad that they'd spend some time with me. Not to get to the bottom of what was terrifying me but to spend time with me.

Mum also knew dad wouldn't leave his daughter again, she also knew the pair was mostly inseparable. Red heads think alike and Sam kissed her and both blushed.

Mum knew that dad wouldn't leave me alone ever again especially after what had happened upon the flight to Chicago from Los Angeles. A flight which had made nightmares recurring and rob frequent for my parents liking.

Ellie alongside Ambulance 61 which held Dawson and Brett in went to get Rose and Lucy from Chicago Med and bring them back to firehouse 51 where everyone was awaiting there return.

Casey showed me a map of Chicago fire department district 4. He showed me anywhere where a disaster would appear in the district.

He told me how sometimes there can be a time when a building can be dangerous for a firehouse and those who were inside of it at all times. The firehouse had been called to one of them. My parents and my grandad Steele looked also.

They all wished we had a map like that in Pontypandy even if we all knew the routes including scenic routes off by heart now.

Dad and Casey were talking about the map and mum entertained me with her phone for a while while they did so. After a little while mum went in search for a new top for me and it seems we were in look.

Casey had a top for me and he passed it to penny who took me to get changed in it and some shorts. Once out everyone cooed and took a look at the top I was wearing.

It was a white polo which had the official logo of the Chicago fire department on it as well as the Pontypandy fire station logo on it. Customer made for the whole of the firefighters. Once away we rejoined the others.

Rose and Lucy appeared wearing their own tops made by and given by Chicago 21st police district which had the logo of CPD (Chicago police department) and the PPD (Pontypandy police department)

Half an hour later Ellie made her presence known with the others and she helped them pack away in there rooms that had been given by the firehouse so they'd could have somewhere to stay while they stayed in the firehouse company.

Lunch was being made which was never missed and everyone had washed there hands before sitting down and eating it. I was sat in between my parents. Lucy was with Rose, Steele with Boden and Ellie was both Dawson and Brett.

Lunch was chicken wraps and we all throughly enjoyed it. Especially me as it was my fave dish and my fave lunch. YUMMY.

Before we left however though me and Ellie saw something on Ambulance 61. I saw I still held my teddy Arlo in my hand and Ellie wanted to look closer even if I hesitated a tad.

We walked closer and saw some writing on it.

The others soon came over wondering and they to saw it, Dawson and Brett shared a look between each other.

The side of the ambulance said "Leslie Elizabeth Shay 1978-2014"

Casey alongside Dawson and Brett talked to us all about Leslie Shay and how much she meant to the whole of the firehouse 51.

The whole of the firehouse 51 soon appeared and stood behind together as one mourning and remembering her.

They told us how much she meant to the firehouse and how much of a great paramedic she was.

Apparently they were called to a building which had been dangerous and showed on the map prior but they stopped had attended the emergency. She was hit by debris.

She say didn't make it and Dawson had done all she could to save her partner. Dawson excused herself and left, Casey following after her.

The whole travel party was sorry for there loss and we also mourned for her.
