Pain and Isolation

Everyone was still in isolation as it turned to New Year's Day and Sarah was having nightmares and Ellie calmed her down and offered her another tablet and knew it would help her in a hour once it kicked in

The disease they all had was still a mystery and the ice on the patient brought in by Wallaby two (or for now Air ambulance) had ice on him, it had only made matters worse and not at all better

Help was called in from Chicago as Harry and a few other doctors had recommended them and they arrived a little later as they had already travelled from Chicago the night before

Once they arrived they met up with the Newtown Hospital staff and had a discussion about what this mystery illness was and how to stop it

The doctors were Dr Manning, Dr Halestead, Dr Latham, Dr Hammer and Dr Charles

Dr Charles told them all that the pain would need to be evaluated to see how bad the pain was and where it was coming from

Dr Charles explained to everyone she met how she was an Epidemiologist

Dr Charles then met with the other doctors and the NHS official who had came all the way from London to try and combat this illness while trying not to let the press catch a wind of it as they didn't want to scare the whole of Wales

Sarah after an hour admitted to Ellie that her nightmares were about being stuck for months on end with no communication to the outside world and friends and family as well missing hers and James's birthday which was in June

Ellie assured her she wouldn't and she'd be home as soon as the mystery illness was dealt with and she told Sarah that it would be dealt with very soon

Meanwhile Dr Alexander had popped into the room fully decked in protective gear as addressed by Dr Charles and she evaluated the pain both Ellie and Sarah felt

Ellie's pain had subsided a lot during the night and the iv line was kept in as a precaution and Ellie calmed Sarah as Dr Alexander put an iv line in her arm as well as booking Sarah an ultrasound appointment for her chest and stomach pain

Ellie kept Sarah calm as the iv line was inserted and Sarah even though not liking needles did extremely well, she didn't have the level of hatred of needles Sam did however though

However she wouldn't have the appointment to after the resticons had eased, as this was still a very serious mystery illness

Ellie to had pain in her chest and stomach so an ultrasound appointment was given the same days as Sarah once it had been allowed to go ahead

They thanked her and Dr Alexander went and returned with some food still packaged up and told them to eat something or at least try before leaving them be for a while

In Hannah's room she had been experiencing pain in her chest but had been given meds by Dr Hammer and was soon asleep, James snuggled into her as he looked after her

In the room where the Jones's were they all had woken up somewhat tired and Jones still wasn't taken the whole isolation quite well and openly admitted to missing home and her teddy Arlo

Sam and Penny looked at each other and as Harry walked in to ask them how there pain was did Penny ask if Arlo could be brought in and given to Jones somehow as she had openly asked for him a few times just like she had asked to go home a few times

Harry said there was and he would made sure that Steele and the whole of the CFD didn't get the mystery illness and Harry to was decked up in protective gear

Harry knew Sam wasn't in pain before Sam admitted to not being in any pain at all, Penny however admitted she was in pain in her chest and Harry was shocked to see the medication that was going through the iv's had been working on my headache and chest pain and he left and gave them some food and said to eat something or at least try

Jones was watching a film on Sam's phone as he and Penny ate something and they both tried to encourage Jones to try some

I shook my head admitting I wasn't hungry and I wasn't, I just wanted to go home and I looked at the photos and videos of us being at home and watched them repeatedly

20mins later Arlo was given to me and we all thanked Harry and I held him tight but now I wanted home more then ever and I would kick up a slight fuss when we were told over the PA it could be up to three months we would have to isolate for

Sam and Penny held me close and knew I was taking it quite badly and they wondered how Sarah was taking it if this was my reaction to the news

However Sarah and Ellie had been cleared to go to ultrasound and Ellie's was negative while Sarah's came back red and postive with pain and just sudden feelings of sadness

Back in the room Sarah was given a month trail on the medication (antidepressants) Harry once gave Jones after being kidnapped but she rarely took them now

Sam always had Jones's trauma meds on hand but Harry was the only one who had her other ones as if she needed them she was most likely in the hospital and needed looming after as J or P had come to het her

Sarah took one after she had stopped throwing up into the sick bowl provided and she felt better in a hour

Unlike her cousin she did at least eat something

Tom was still working tirelessly on bringing people to Newtown hospital with this mystery illness
