Since Kenny's death, since Jane's suicide, Clementine hadn't been the same. Although considering that nobody in her life had known her earlier self, they wouldn't have been able to tell.

Except for one, major thing that gave way to the fact that she was hurting.
Yet, only one person seemed to see it. And it was simply because he was the only one willing to give her the time of day.

They had only just made it back to Prescott after Mariana's murder and Kate's injury, and tensions were, to say the least, high. As soon as they had arrived, Javier had made a mad bolt towards Eleanor's temporary station, still tending to Kate fresh out of surgery, Gabe had stormed off to vent some of his anger, Tripp was meandering attempting to find a way to collect his thoughts, and Clementine was left to suffer on her own. Alone, once more.

Just like the old days.

Clementine's head tilted back, her eyes wandering to the grey and murky sky overhead and the way the clouds loomed over their temporary home, suffocating her from the sky she so desperately wanted to see. The sky that seemed to hold everyone she longed to see again.

Her gaze returned to the ground, her arms crossing against her chest as she surveyed the scene.

"She kept calling for you, you know." Clem could faintly hear Eleanor claim, and watched as Javier's face contorted in pain at the statement.

She was the reason he couldn't be here. He was the reason she was alive. The fact that he helped her live only put himself and his family in more pain than they already were.

Maybe she didn't deserve to live. She found herself thinking that more and more these days. After all the people she killed. After being a cause for Luke's death. After Luke's death being a reason for Jane's suicide. After shooting Kenny. After shooting Lee.

Today, it was only hammered in. Javier's efforts to help her stay alive only resulted in more long-lasting pain for his family.

"Good going, Clem." The child mumbled to herself, her breath strained and painful, unable to stomach the sight of what she had caused.

Swallowing hard, the girl shook her head and pushed herself forwards and off of the wooden wall that she had leaned against. As she made her way down the makeshift street, she knew exactly where her next stop was going to be, and she couldn't wait to get there.

Javier's eyes parted from Eleanor's seeing movement behind her shoulder, watching as the familiar figure began walking down the air force runway, her arms slowly lifting from laying limply at her sides to hugging herself close. His brows furrowed at the sight, watching her head lower ever so slightly. It wouldn't be enough for a passersby to notice any difference, but after spending the past few days by her side almost non-stop, he could see the instant shift in her stature.

Eleanor's voice, now droning in the background as he had fixated his attention on Clementine, had ceased and allowed her gaze to turn and latch onto the same figure as his was. "What?" She asked, turning back to him with a frustrated frown, wondering how long he had gone ignoring her.

He remained silent for a beat, watching as the child rounded a corner, faintly seeing her disappear as the sky grew darker. It was already getting harder to see as the natural light their little town flourished in continued to fade. Javier glanced back at the woman in front of him and quickly shook his head. "Nothing." Of course she didn't see anything wrong with her, Eleanor rarely ever saw Clementine. Javier, on the hand, had hardly left her side as of late.
