"Where's Clem?"

Hearing the familiar voice ask the classic question, Javier turned to his side with a knowing smirk. Before him stood Gabe, eyes resting on his uncle only momentarily before nervously shifting away. He chuckled, turning his attention back to scanning the to-do list Kate handed to him earlier in the day. "I think she's at the park."

Since they had sealed the doors to Richmond, Kate and Javi had been working their hardest to put the community back together. Hoping to repay those affected, they promised to fix the city they felt they had destroyed. Ever since, Kate had given Javi a list of things yet to be accomplished, and every night they sat to do over what had yet to be done.

With a sigh, he stuffed the list back into his pocket. "I need to head that way anyways. Mind if I tag along?"

Gabe gave a nod almost as if he was relieved and paired it with a sigh. As clear as it was that he was smitten for the girl he was about to see, as far as Gabe knew, his secret was still under wraps. So, to ensure that his "secret" stayed that way, it was nice to have someone join him to go see her. That way it didn't seem obvious.

Although to Clementine, it was. Hell, to everyone it was. But that didn't mean they were about to burst his bubble and confess that they knew.

While heading in the proper direction, the two remained in casual conversation until they rounded the corner to the park. With her own checklist in hand, Clementine stood just before the playground, backpack on and ready to get to work with more tasks on her list.

"How's work going, Clem?" Javi posed as they drew closer, capturing the teen's attention. Upon turning and registering who was speaking, she smiled; a rare sight to many in the town.

Javi had learned from the brief conversations from those around Richmond that Clementine wasn't one to warm up to people easily. She was no longer the type to smile kindly at a stranger. Yet still, whenever anyone from their family entered the room she cracked a grin. Out of everyone that attempted to gain her trust in those recent months, they won over everyone.

"It's going. Kate really gave me a list." Flashing the sheet to Javi, the male noticed that she was upwards of finishing more than half the list and somehow it wasn't even noon.

He cleared his throat, nervously stuffing his list deeper into his pocket. "Yeah, you got that right."

With a content flick of her wrist, Clementine flattened her paper before folding it and sliding it into a jean pocket. "Well, now I gotta go and transport some equipment to the medical tent." Using a free hand, she gripped one of the shoulder straps of her bag and flashed a grin. "If you guys want to make my job a little easier, you could help me out? I only have one bag."

"We'd love to!" Gabe quickly spat, speaking for the both of them and nodding towards his uncle, almost pleadingly.

Clementine, hands now on hips, gave a knowing smirk. "Perfect. That way we can get it done quicker."

Javi could feel his eyes roll internally. Perfect. He was helping her list get shorter while his remained just as long. Kate would be thrilled that he was once again slacking on chores.

As Clem tugged her bag tighter over her shoulder, a small slip of paper fluttered out from the side pocket, landing gracefully before Gabe's foot.

He stared quizzically at the scrap, seeming slightly scuffed from use. "Clem?" He questioned, pressing his foot down on the corner so it wouldn't blow away. "I think this is yours?"
