"Where's Clem?"

It had been a few hours since Gabe had last seen his friend, and his anxious voice fluttering through the air caused Javi's brows to press in the same amount of confusion as his nephew. Briefly, his eyes flickered between the child and his surroundings, as if it was impossible that she wasn't in immediate proximity of him. "She isn't around?"

"I can't find her." The teen claimed with a shrug, Javi could swear there was even a trace of frustration laced within his tone.

Hesitantly, as if closing his clipboard would signify the beginnings of witch hunt, he snapped it shut. "Where was the last place you saw her?"

"I saw her wandering around town with her friend, Beth." Gabe shrugged once more, his arms quickly crossing over his chest defensively. "I've looked everywhere. I have no idea where they went."

"Why do you need to find her so bad?" Javi asked with a slight smirk dancing on his lips. It seemed without even needing Gabe to answer, he knew what the reasoning was.

Gabe scoffed, lowering his head and stuffing his hands deeper into his pockets. "I just need help getting some of these chores done and wanted to see if she would be willing." He kicked some dirt down by his feet, a scowl evident despite his downward cast glare. "That's all."

Javi, while knowing it was a lie, chose to not press on. "Okay. I'll help you look around."

Gabe led his uncle round and round the small city, desperately searching high and low for the girl. While at first it was playful, Gabe merely attempting to find the girl he so desperately had a crush, as time waned on Javi grew more worried as to where exactly she had vanished off to. It wasn't like her to disappear and be completely unable to locate. Normally, if even at all, she would slip away for a little while and magically reappear after temporarily being inside one of the warehouses putting boxes away.

Javi's eyes widened.

The warehouses.

"This way." He claimed weakly, immediately starting in the direction of the warehouse district with Gabe hot on his tail. She must have been holed up in one of them, but it never took her this long to get her work done. After completing a task in assisting the city's rebuild, they needed to report back to Kate in the main park, who was gradually becoming the main ringleader in their goal of recreating the city they had lost.

But Kate hadn't seen her all day, they had checked in with her as they passed through.

Javi could feel a sense of panic begin fill his chest. Did she hurt herself while moving something? Did something fall on her? Was she stuck somewhere? Were there walkers in one of the warehouses that they all weren't aware of? The questions, his sudden swarm of panic, only pushed him to move faster.

"Do you think she'd be there?"

"I don't know where else she'd be." He claimed, quickening his pace. He was moving so quickly Gabe was practically in a jog beside him, but the teen refused to complain. He was equally concerned and, if anything, Javi was more so than him. He had never seen the male filled with such panic as with the notion that the little girl he cared so deeply far was in peril.

Not wanting to waste time as they drew close, Javi started for the side door closest to them, leading into one of the side rooms of the building. It would take too long to scurry up to the front doors, and that was time Javier refused to waste. They had no idea if she was even in here, let alone what state she was in. He refused to waste any time, even a second, daring to try anything that didn't guarantee quick results.
