The world, for an instant, grew still. Everything came to a screeching halt. No birds, no wind, no screams or cries, only silence.

Only silence, the feeling of thumping in Luke's chest, and the sight of Clementine limp in Carver's arms — darting into the forest.

"Clementine!" He could hardly hear her name rip through his throat, the world blurring as he darted forward. He threw himself after the male, desperate to regain the girl he was growing so fond of.

Just before he got into arms reach, he watched Carver leap into a vehicle peeling out of the woods with one of his henchmen at the wheel. Carver threw himself into the passenger seat. The instant the door slammed shut, the gas pedal was slammed.

Instantly, they were gone, and so was Clementine.

Luke caved to his knees, his body jolting with the fierce contact with the ground. The blurred sounds of nature suddenly came to life, and behind him he could hear the panicked murmurs and shuffling of his teammates' feet: a melt back into reality.

"Oh no," Sarah's panicked breathing was followed by the shuffling of skin on fabric — what Luke could only assume was Carlos's hand rubbing his daughter's shoulder.

Heavy breathing sounded, followed by a deep voice. "How are we supposed to know where they went?"

"We don't," Nick responded bitterly, and yet still with an expression of numbness, to Alvin. "We don't know where his camp is in connection to here. We don't even know if it's in the same place."

"North-east." Luke hushed, his voice falling like a dying leaf to the ground: with concern for what was to come. His group stood silent as he pushed himself to his feet, turning to examine the faces of his teammates. Their expressions — mainly dull opposed to panicked — struck a chord within him. "North-east." He repeated. "The camp is north-east. I remember."

"Where north-east?"

"You head north-east and once you find a man-made pebble trail and clearing, you follow it until you get there." Luke rustled at his hair at Nick's pressuring, distressed and irritated at how vividly the memory stayed with him. "I remember from when we escaped."

Silence struck the group. The only information they needed to retrieve her was known, now what they chose to do with it was the only question.

"So, what do we do with that?"

Luke's gaze, wavering up from the ground, gripped to Rebecca's. "What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean, Luke." Rebecca spat, gaze harrowing. "Are we going to get her?"

"What kind of question is that?" Luke shot back, arms waving in distress that the option to not retrieve her had even been considered. "Of course we're going to get her."

Rebecca raised an eyebrow, and the silence of the group surrounding her said everything the group didn't need to. Luke's arms collapsed to his sides, stunned at the lack of sound. "You guys don't wanna go." He breathed, stunned at the betrayal his group could give their newest member.

"What if it's a trap?" Carlos spoke, his voice hovering in the midst of unknown silence. "What if they lure us there and trap us?"

Luke remained silent, allowing the words to bounce off of him ignored.
