"Sooooo Gabe," Javier's voice, dancing with anticipation, prompted tension to swell in the teen's shoulders.

The teen was in the midst of waving goodbye to Clementine as she started off in the other direction. The two had been carrying on a playful conversation before she vanished, stuffing an axe into a holster on her waist and vanishing to snag some firewood. Hearing his uncle's voice behind him, the boy turned, dread filling him instantly. "What?" He carried out the 'a' sound, bracing himself for potential agony.

Javier's eyebrows wiggled, kneeling before the teen with an all knowing look in his eye that made the teen uneasy. "So," he brushed off his shoulder with a smug smirk. "You and Clem, huh?"

The male had just barely said the phrase before the teen's hand clamped over his lips, a furious red filling his cheeks. "Stop!" He sighed, glancing from side to side in a frenzy. "She might still be nearby!"

Javi swatted his hand away with ease. "She's long gone kiddo, we're good." While Gabe pouted in silent defiance, arms crossed bitterly across his chest Javi's brows remained raised. "So? Are you going to elaborate?"

Gabe groaned, turning away from his pushy uncle. "Shut up, Javi. Nothing's happening."

"That's not what I asked," he teased, his voice aflutter.

"It's what you implied."

Javi's brows lifted and lingered, staring down his nephew nervously shuffling from foot to foot. Finally, the teen snapped and sighed. "She's just," he ran a hand across the back of his neck, feeling the heat radiate. "She's just great, alright?"

A sly smile worked its way onto the adult's face, his shoulders taking turns swaying in glee. "I knew it."

"I'm leaving."

Darting after him, chuckling the entire way, Javi attempted to tackle the very teen he was hopelessly teasing. The faster Javi run, the louder Gabe hollered as he darted away, his face deepening in it's tomato-red shade, desperate for his uncle to leave him alone.

After finally managing to capture his nephew, the two had made their way to their mess hall to fix dinner. After each having eaten, Gabe parted to sit in the tent he and Javi shared, while Javier made his way to wash the handful of plates they had used during dinner.

Javier was in the middle of washing his last plate, sighing and dunking it into the filled sink, when the door behind him threw itself open.

"You need to talk to Gabe."

Javi, raising an eyebrow, pausing in the midst of washing given the familiar voice. He turned, his gaze fixated on the female in the room. "I do." His eyes squinted. "Every day."

Kate scoffed, wiping her feet at the door and storming into the room. "You need to talk to him about Clem, Javi."

His stare didn't flinch, keeping hold on it's baffled expression. "I talked to him about her earlier today." His stare shifted, letting out a soft chuckle. "So you know about them too, huh?"

"Yes, I do." She claimed, arms crossed, expression stern. The smile was immediately wiped from his face. Something about her stance told him she wasn't too happy. "That's why I need you to go and talk with him."
