Then let me always be ugly.
Let me always be the girl who was made of storms and thunders.
Let me be the ocean; who's all depth, serene, unpredictable, with hidden secret in every parts.

Make me unapproachable and untouched by the hands of men in the street,
on a crowded bus,
make me the woman you will not sit beside on the train,
make me invisible,
from the evil eyes of this society.

Let me be the girl who feels confidence, powerful, and honoured,
because this Hijab is not just a normal scarf,
it is my crown, my sisters' crown.

Let me told all of my ugly sisters that their beauty cannot be seen by a naked eye,
mirror cannot represent their beauty,
because their Imaan and Taqwa make them beautiful in their own way.

Let me raise ugly daughters who know that their beauty is not for public consumption,
who know that their beauty is not something related on people's opinion.
Their beauty, indeed, is not a topic on a magazine, but their modesty is the topic in the Qur'an.
