Anyway I feel like Y/n would see tweets that weren't entirely rude or anything but just mentioned that you weren't white. Like, "Michael's a booty guy obviously" or "#mixedbabies", things like that. It'd just be blown totally out of proportion in your mind and that night you'd go out to eat with Michael and you'd just be a little more quiet. Michael wouldn't really notice until he'd start eating and he'd kind of pause with a fork in his hand and you'd be staring at him. "Are ok? You're not really talking." He'd say, putting the food back down and looking at you. "Yeah," You'd say, realizing how dumb it would sound. "Ooooook?" Michael would say really slowly trying to ignore the fact that you were lying to him. Of course, this would irritate you, like he didn't care or something so you'd just blurt out, "People think it's weird that we're dating!" Michael would give a little laugh thinking you were trying to be funny and although he begins to realize you're serious, he still continues to smile. "Why?" He'd ask, confused. You rolled your head around, contemplating saying it just as a joke. "Because I'm black and it's really awkward," You said quietly, staring at the straw you were swishing in your cup. "What?" Michael asks, unsure if he really heard you correctly, "It's not awkward." "I feel like it's awkward," You defend, crossing your arms. "Did someone say something to you?" Michael asked upset. "Not really, I don't know, I just- UGH" You couldn't even explain it to him. "Aw stop-stop," Michael said, grabbing for your hand as you went to rip up the straw wrapper violently. "I love you," He reassured you while looking into your eyes. You shrugged. "I love you I love you I love you I LOVE YOU I-" Michael began to get gradually louder and people began to stare. "Ok ok stop!" You giggled trying to lean across the table to cover his mouth.
