Warning: super sad

He wasn't the same. He wasn't Mikey anymore. He wasn't happy anymore. But come to think of it no one else was. It'd been what felt like months before the boys ever came back around when really it was only a couple of weeks. Michael never spoke a word about it he didn't go to interviews, being afraid they would bring you up. He didn't know what to do anymore. What made it worse was that the fans continued to ask him where you were and if you two broke up.

He would never respond, it would be Ashton who would tweet something along the lines of, "Guys, Mikey just isn't himself right now, please don't ask him about her...It hurts us to see him like this."

Which only made Michael feel worse, the band wasn't the same. Their power in their songs became all too personal now. Michael could barley sing some of the songs since they reminded him too much of you, he lost his one inspiration. Playing concerts was hard, but he never let the fans see him cry. It would always be after the concert was over in the dressing room where he would break, but he would never talk to anyone he would pick up his phone, grab a picture of you, and dial your number until it hit voicemail. He seemed to find it comforting to hear the voicemail tone and your voice.

You made the band where they stood. You always made sure they were actually happy and made sure none of the smiles were fake. You cared for the entire band not just because you were dating Michael, but because they all became best friends to you. You were the one who made them laugh and smile, and the one that they could pick on. You were like a sister to them, and they loved that you made Michael happy. The fans were 100% supportive of you and Michael which only made your relationship flourish.

But that night made the band realize who important you actually where to them. How much you actually meant to them. The band decided to take a break from playing concerts and gigs for a while until they thought Michael was ready to play again.

When Michael told them he wanted to continue on the band he tweeted out, "I think I'm ready to start again xx" and they were off playing again, the thought of you still imprinted in their minds. Always and Forever. It was hard for them to play their songs and the ones Michael would dedicate to you. They never played them, until one night at the concert they thought they would try on their last song

"Alright guys, we're going to play Wherever You Are." Luke said, looking to Michael who's mouth dropped shaking his head.

"W-Wait," Michael's voice cracked and it seemed like the fans went quiet. "We, I," He let out a breath, and nodded, "Okay." He began to play the beginning part with Luke and he already felt the tears swell in his eyes as Luke began to sing the beginning.

Michael's voice hitched in his throat as he stepped back from the microphone before he had to jump into the song, tears were running down his cheeks by then. He's never cried during a song in front of thousands of people.

Michael stops playing his guitar as the tears stream down his face, without another word he's walked off stage as the fans are screaming his name and several other things. He places his guitar in the case and walks to the dressing room. He pulls out his favorite picture of you from his pocket and holds it in his hands as his shaky fingers unlock his phone and begin to dial your number. Ring Michael breathing hitches in his throat Ring the tears become faster and harder almost like bullets Ring Michael had to sit down as he waited for the last ring, the one he always heard, but that's not what he heard. He heard the high pitched automatic voice which made his heart break further.

"I'm sorry, the number you have dialed is disconnected as of August 1st, 2014. Please check the number and try again." Then the line went dead.

Michael shook his head as he placed his phone on the table in front of him as his hands shook. He closed his eyes tightly and ran a hand into his hair. He wasn't ready to lose you that day. He never thought he would never see your smiling face again, or the way your eyes shinned when you laughed, or the way your hair always fell perfectly. But he also never thought that you would die that day and it was his entire fault. He shouldn't have fought with you. He should have ran after you. He should have never let you drive away. He should have told you he loved you always and forever. He'll never forgive himself for letting you leave while you were drunk. You ran the red light because of him. You didn't care where you were going or how fast because of him.

The boys all walked into the dressing room and were about to say something but Michael interrupts them, "It's my fault she's gone...I should have ran after her, I should have stopped her. I love her so much, I was so angry at her that I didn't even think about the things that could happen...I'm such a horrible person. I miss her so fucking much." He cried.

Luke was the one to walk over to him and pull him into a hug not knowing what to say, but figured now was the time not to say anything. They all loved you; you were the one to make Michael the happiest out of every girl he ever dated. Now he could never be happy again.
