We continued to stare at each other, me forgetting the pain I had on my feet.

"Khushi! What in the world is wrong with you?!"

My head snapped up to see Payal, her face filled with anger. I was about to get up when Arnav held me down. I stared at him in shock, unsure of what he was doing.

Payal came walking over. "Have you gone mad?!"

She was really mad.

"Look at what you did to your feet," she exclaimed.

I looked down at my aching, purple feet, which were resting on Arnav's leg. I looked at him, while he was already looking at me. Immediately, I looked away, causing him to look at me in confusion.

"Ugh, Khushi! When will you ever learn? Hold on while I go get an ice pack."

She left us alone and I didn't dare to look at him. I could feel him stare at me, but I didn't bother to turn. Payal came back and handed him the ice pack to put on my feet. He was about to place it, when I grabbed it out of his hand, took my feet of his leg, and placed it on the ledge, ignoring the pain it caused on my feet. Placing the the ice pack on my feet, I stared out the window. Both were surprised by my actions, and Payal came over to me and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Khushi... what's wrong?"

I didn't say anything and remained silent.

Payal turned towards Arnav. "Do you mind giving us a moment?

Arnav nodded and walked out. I watched him as he left and rolled my eyes.

"Alright Khushi, what's going on? Tell me!"

I remained silent.

She shook her head with a sigh. "Is it because of the other day when I lied to you and you saw Arnav and I hanging out," she asked softly.

That caught my attention, but I didn't say anything. So they did see me that day... and she still lied to me then?

"Is it also because of how we hugged yesterday?"

I couldn't stop myself and turned towards her in surprise. How did she know?

She sighed. "Look Khushi," she began, "the only reason why we did that was to get you to realize your feelings for him. Arnav was absolutely against it, but I wanted you to realize, so I reasoned with him and convinced him that jealousy was the only way to make this work."

I stared at her wide eyed. This. Bitch!

"I'm sorry if we hurt you, but we didn't think you would realize it this fast. To be honest I thought it would take another week or something. You were being so stubborn and I... this was the only way I thought was going to get you to realize your feelings for him."

What is wrong with this girl?!

She held her ears. "Khushi I'm sorry, I didn't mean for you to get hurt. Punish me and I won't care, but I'm really sorry."

She saw and knew that I was still upset so she decided to 'play' the card by using a weakness.

"It was pretty interesting how he knew you would be here. It's as if he already knew from years ago or something."

I looked at her. "Don't," I said.

"Why not?" She smirked.

This girl always had something clever go through her mind.

"So here's what I'm gonna do," she said. "I'm going to leave and leave you two alone."

"What-?"

"Ssh! I won't listen to a single word you say. Okay? I'll be up all night and after you come home and your parents are asleep, you're going to call me and tell me everything that happens. Understood?"

"But-"

"Besides, there's several things you may want to hear from Arnav."

Wait, what?

Before I could even respond, she dashed towards the entrance and blew me a kiss. She walked out and went to Arnav. "She's all yours."

Payal left towards the car, and as soon as the car pulled away, Arnav came in and walked towards me. I felt really nervous and embarrassed.

How could I not be?

"How are you feeling," he asked.

I felt my body ready to shudder at his velvet voice, but I resisted, not wanting to further embarrass myself than I already had.

"Well... after misunderstanding everything, acting stupid, and now have inflated, purple-now-bluish feet... awesome would definitely not be it. Now me being an idiotic, dramatic girl... now that's more it."

He smiled softly.

"Well," he began, and he caressed my cheek and had me face him. "You're my idiotic, dramatic girl."

I gazed up at him as he put his other hand to caress my other cheek before kissing me. When I let go first, I felt a smile spread across my face.

And I kept myself away from this happiness why? Although it wasn't just me... where had Arnav been all this time before?
