For the rest of the evening, Payal and I hung out with Arnav's family. I know, it's weird that I'm all over my boss's family but they were just so nice.

Then again, they were also my boyfriend's family, so in way it wasn't weird, even though they had no clue and it was also a bit nerve-wracking.

But not only were Anjali and Kalavati nice, but their husbands were nice too. Shyam poked jokes around Anjali and called her Rani Saheba lovingly. Kalavati's husband, Kishore, was very poetic. In fact, he was a really good English professor. He kept reciting small couplets every now and then and used the love out of it to tease his wife.

Nani was very nice, but her mind worked like someone that was around my age. Akash's dad was really nice and sweet but Mami? Well... she's nice, but because of the things she says, she pretty comical.

I loved this family very much. They were always so happy, and they joked around so much. The love they had for each other was oh so sweet. I envy Arnav so much for this.

If only my family... sigh....

It was the end of the night and people began to leave. We were actually the last ones to leave because they insisted that we stayed a bit longer.

"Once again, thank you so much for coming," Kalavati said.

"Yes, and please come to our home again some time," Nani said.

Payal and I smiled with an assuring look, but I mean to come over again....

I snuck a glance at Arnav, finding a small smirk on his face.

Oh boy, oh boy!

"Just smiling isn't going work," Nani said.

"I don't know Nani," I said softly. She had insisted that I called her that, making me feel like a was one of their own.

"Why not? Just because you're an employee at Chote's company, doesn't mean you can't come here."

She is so sweet! Why isn't her grandson like her?

I was about to say something when Arnav came walking over. He looked at me and said "don't forget to bring that file I mentioned earlier, here."

I was confused. What file is he talking about?

"See," Nani said. "Now we'll definitely see you tomorrow."

I looked at Arnav's expression carefully, then realized what he actually meant.

"Uh," was all that could say.

I mean I didn't know what to say. It was either 'oh no Nani, you see your grandson just wanted me to come over just to spend some time with me before work' or just 'uh....?'

"Oh yeah," Arnav said, "I have a few other files to give you as well. Come with me."

He had a serious look on his face, but I couldn't tell if he really was serious, or if he was just messing with me.

My thoughts were quickly interrupted because Akash had suggested that since I'd be busy with work, since he knew his Bhai all too well, he asked if he could drop Payal of. Nani was okay with that. She knew her grandson well enough too and Akash took Payal home, who I knew couldn't wait to spend some along time with him.

As they left, I followed Arnav to his room, this time going a different way, that didn't go to the poolside. We went in from the main entrance of his room, and he went over to his table to retrieve a few files. Once again I was in his lair and he had the advantage here. He handed me a few things.

Huh, guess he was serious.

I was about to grab them when he pulled me in.

Or maybe not.

As he moved my hair aside, exposing the mark he left behind, he looked at me with a questioning look.

"How are you going to hide that," he asked.

"I don't know, depends on how big it is."

He spun me around to face the mirror, causing me to gasp.

Well so much for him losing to me!

I couldn't believe my eyes as I looked at it. The only thing going through my head was whoa!

Arnav's phone went off and he went to get it.

"It's another client," he muttered.

He looked a little irritated and I shook my head, rolling my eyes. Ignoring the call, he held me again, kissed me on the cheek. "How about I drop you off?"

I liked the idea. We went back downstairs, once the hickey was once again properly hidden, and he told his family that he was dropping me off. At first they all had a look on their faces, but he came up with a solid excuse, as if it were true. They all bought it and were okay with it.

When we were in the car I asked him about what had happened back there. He simply shook his head and didn't say much. I had a feeling he was hiding something. We arrived at my place not long later, and I got out of the car.

"See you tomorrow at my place before work," he said.

"I'll be there," I smiled softly, and he drove away.

When went inside, I realized Amma and Babuji were asleep already. I went into my room, got into my pjs and looked at my neck in the mirror. I still couldn't believe it and absentmindedly traced it. As I traced it, everything replayed through my mind again.

What a night.

I went to sleep happily that night, curious about how tomorrow would go.
